In the quest to save a fellow anthems member from the heartache of dealing with dodgy companies that give bad service or poor quality product, EXPOSE THEM HEre!

Have you ever had to pay a deposit. then a bit more of the deposit, and then the rest of the amount but still have nothing to show for it. Only to find that the end product is of poor quality any way... I know some people have.

What about the dodgy used car salesman? Would you ever trust one.. (no offence jase, You are excluded because your cars are pure class!!!

Yer, I had some guy message me saying that he'd would pay $1000 for a necklace I was selling and that he would send me a Money Order and to do so he needed ALL my details, I'm talking, full name, address, date of birth, email address, phone number...AND he was in the UK...Dickhead! Did he really think I was that stupid!

I just replied saying that he'd have to win the auction with a $1000 bid and that he could only pay using paypal...Haven't heard from him since!

you really need to be careful with the type of people that come out of ebay...

Most store cards are linked to GE capital...so if you got a card for MYERS, Harris Scarfe or any of these stores...you got GE Capital.

Beware, I had my myer card stolen 8 years ago. At the time I reported it to Myer so they would cancel it. They didnt, they let the thief buy $300 pass the limit and since I moved houses I never saw the bill coming in...eventually "I" defaulted and they black listed me for credit. I never knew about it until I tried to go for a house loan 3 years later.

I had a lawyer get involved, got really ugly..I still had to pay the damn bill coz they didnt have a record of me reporting, pay the lawyer and fill multiple declarations telling every bank the same story until I got a damn loan.

I will never ever have a store card again or deal with those bastard.

Even though I know no one on here uses them, but I would just like to voice the problem me and Ace have just had with Dodo.

We tried applying online for ADSL2 only to find that their online form was confusing. So we rang them up and signed up over the phone. No worries. We were told that we would get our modem etc sent out within 7 days. They even already took out the first payment, which is agreed on between both parties.

Then we got a phonecall from them about a week and a half later from that phone conversation apologising and telling us that ADSL2 was not available in our area. After being most p*ssed off at them for not checking all this in the first place, wasting our time and taking money (which was refunded) that served no purpose we agreed to sign back up to dial-up and decided to start looking around for people that could provide us with the service that we are after.

Did a bit of looking around, but with Ace and I working completely different hours it was hard to come to a decsision.

We then got ANOTHER phone call from Dodo, not 2 weeks after we had the last one telling us that, yes ADSL WAS available in our area. Not ADSL2, but ADSL.

After Ace telling them that we wwant to go with someone else we was eventually talked into signing up with Dodo for ADSL, and that we would get it in 7 days, along with all these extras because of the inconvenience.

WELL that 7 days ended on Friday. Today Ace rang Dodo to find out what was going on only to be told that we wouldn't have ADSL for another TWO WEEKS. After Ace had asked the stupid b*tch FOUR times if she was sure that we would have it in 7 days, and everytime she said yes.

When Ace asked to speak to the supervisor he was told that the industry standard is 21 days from signup date until when the customer will receive their ADSL good and be hooked up and ready to go. This in itself is b*llshit.

Yer, so basically, as we see it, we were lied to so they would get our business.

We will be ringing Internode, Adam and AAPT tomoro and changing ISP's ASAP. Not happy at all with this crap. If I wasn't at work then i would have dealt with them myself.

You can tell Dodo are shit Lucy from their crappy 3d character in their ads haha

What about Optus? I've been with them for 6 years with mobile and 4 or 5 years with internet, no probs at all

Well at the moment im getting a new body kit put on my car, back 2 guard rolled and a light replaced that I PROVIDED them so all this company had to do was fit it in. They gave me a quote and said it would take 4 DAYS to do it all.....well it now bee 3 WEEKS!!! i never get a phone call to say what they're having problems with it's either me or my b/f that has to call up to find out whats going on, each time we do call we're told "yeah it should be ready for you to pick up tonight" or " it will be ready for you tomorrow" so what do i do? i call up the day it's MEANT to be ready just to double check and what a surprise that car still isn't ready they reckon they'r having problems with the rear bar. First it was the front bar but now apparently thats all fixed and done.
The worst part is i originally booked it in for April 21st and get it back on 24th or 26th. WELL 3 days after the 21st Ben got a phone call saying the guy that fits the body kit has injured him self do u want to pick the car up or leave it here. Of course we picked it up only to find NOTHING had been done. The light hadn't been replaced and the guards hadn't been rolled! they had the car fro 3 DAYS and hadn't done a damn thing!!! They also asked for 2 weeks notice so they could get the kit ready to fit. Well when i called back up to rebook my car they guy said that the kit wasn't quite ready yet so you can bring it in tomorrow (being May 2nd) i thought that was the reason why i had to give 2 weeks notice to start with.
So now i've been without a car for 3 weeks which is actually quite annoying because i have to rely on other people to dive me everywhere, i can't just go up to the shops if i need to get a few things AND if ben (my bf) is a work and im home, im stuck there ALL DAY unless i want to catch a train to the shops, which i don't really want to do because i catch em everyday for work. The only good thing that has come out of this is ive saved money on petrol!

The ONLY people that can actually help us in our situation that they can transfer us to are people in India.

The girl we DID get in Melbourne could only access our personal details, nothing more. And she told us that there was NO ONE Australian that she could connect us to that could actually help us.

And yes, we told them that we did not want to speak to and Indians as they are impossible to understand.

sometimes the supervisor in indian call centres is fluent in english, (as in understandable english). so if u have no choice but to get transfered to india, then ask for their supervisor, and if he doesn't just put on an accent and see if he understands you!!!
