Some people may use Software tools that make every day computing just that little bit easier.

Here's the place to share those tools smile.gif

What do you use??

What is it used for??

For example, i use a small application called Pixel Picker for finding the colour value codes of particular colours. In a nutshell, you hover a crosshair over a pixel and it tells you what colour that pixel is in 3 different colour coding formats. Its a very handy tool.

What is the program?
Firefox.

What is it used for?
Surfing the internet in the most efficient and productive manner. It shits all over Internet Explorer. Constantly being updated with new add-ons and so forth to make your internet time easier, etc etc.

Alcohol 120% or Alcohol 52% - CD and DVD/Image writing program, I think Alcohol 52% is the free version

"Alcohol 120% and its brother Alcohol 52% are disc writing and management software created by Alcohol Soft of the Fubra Group. Similar to Nero Burning ROM, it can write CD and DVDs, burn image files and so on. What makes it differ the most from Nero is that it uses the latest technology to constantly develop and improve by adding new features to maintain its performance and stability. ..."

It's a free 30 day trial - otherwise you have to pay for it.

Unless you mean it's free when you download it and then get a crack illegally.. in which case; EVERY piece of software is free laugh.gif

I came across one called DVD Decrypter, it copies DVDs that have copy protect on them and removes the country region code, I don't think websites have them anymore, but if you download torrents, it's on Torrentspy.com!

'whats running' is a wicked program if your computer is going a bit slow. An easy way to configre what programs run at start up, and what little applications to close like stupid autoupdates for something like itunes etc..

I have to reduce CPU for when i run my MBOX with ProTools cause you need as much as you can get! This helped me out heaps
