Who likes their vitamins?? And do u agree/not agree with taking them?

I currently have:

Ginkgo Biloba: helps with concentration

Mega B: for energy levels and the nervous system

Easy Sleep Valerian: good for relaxing and to help sleep, stinky though!

Astraforte: great for the immune system, comes from a natural root. When i'm sick it halves the symptoms and makes me better so much quicker

i take omega 3 odourless fish oil... its pretty good cuz i dont eat fish but i dont over consume cuz ull get the runs!

I agree with taking vitimans, but i also think that you shouldn't be taking heaps of them or relying on them. Sometimes it's good to try other remidies first... for things like relaxing etc usually a good cup of tea is all you need!

Sometimes i take Vitiman C but that's about it.

I know alot of women take Iron tablets.

Every day I take a men's multivitamin (it has a range of things in it, obviously).

I also tend (every two days or so) to have a vitamin c tablet, mainly because they taste good - and it doesn't hurt to get some extra vitamin c .. especially if there's a cold/flu going around, etc etc.

If I'm sick I tend to take about 6 vitamin c tablets per day - but that's only when I'm coughing and snotting everywhere, etc.
bekier
when i remember i have:

Iron - because i have anemia
Magnesium - for management of miagranes and the relaxation of muscles
Vitamin C and
a hair, skin and nails vitamin too.
BOOSTINGr
I take a multivitimin capsule too its a mens specific type with a whole host of stuff in there. I honestly couldn't tell you of i was deficient in any particular vitimins and i don't know how others can pin point which exact one they are low on either. Thats why i take a multi. smile.gif

After a week of taking it i felt a lift in energy especally when waking up in the morning was able to boune out of bed a lot easier and have felt generally better.
Unbalancedr
I take:
2 garlic tablets
1 multi vitamin
3 fish oil capsule
1 probiotic capsule
1 zinc tablet

daily... Its good for ya!
Fulcrumr
I have multivitamins but only on the very odd occasion, when i might feel tired due to oncoming flu..

Whereever I can I try to get all my vitamin souce from food (veges, meat, grains etc)

I used to take vitamins every day, but found it really wasn't a substitute for eating right (as the label states). I'm a firm believer in the "Everything in Moderation" viewpoint smile.gif

yeah i agree with you Dave!
But zinc is great too when you have a cold or if you feel one coming on.

I take a womens multi-vitamin, a fish oil (my skin and hair is much better for it) and zinc - being a vocalist i tend to thrash my nasal passages and vocal chords, its good for that

Its good to top up on vitamins when you know you havent got time to eat well etc
I have that combined with healthy food - means that at least if i miss something in my food, i may make up for it in capsule, or add to what i already need smile.gif

I take a Womens Multi-Vitamin and have just stumbled on some interesting information:

The recommended daily intake of Iron for women aged 19 - 25 is 18mg per day.

Now my multi-vitamin only has 10mg of Iron and is only meant to be taken once a day.

I used to be low in iron and now at first glance it would appear that it has come back. But I have to wait for my doctor to get back from wherever she is so I can get my bloods done.

In the mean time I'm going to hunt around for a Womens multi-vitamin that has my recommended daily intake of iron.

Just thought I'd post this up here for all those women out there who are or suspect they might be low in iron smile.gif

I'm taking Womans D-Stress for my stress and anxiety. I find it really good, you are supposed to take it twice a day but i'm doing ok on just one a day.

Speaking of being low in iron...

Theres this iron supplement in liquid form that is great, And iron tablets are quite prone to causing constipation and stomach issues, whereas this has none of those side effects. Not sure on the name of it but its in a bottle like cough syrup in most chemists/health food stores.

i just got some swisse womens multivitamins.
see how they go smile.gif

Yeah same here.. i was prescribed it by one of my specialist it has helped alot! but warning taking 6 all of a sudden when your body isnt use to it will give u the runs but goes away after a couple of days. Ive found it assists with broken sleep. the Valerian assisted in the quality of sleep.

luckily for me I've never had any problems sleeping laugh.gif
