Some little f@$&*@er's broke into our house at Mile End in the early hours of this morning whilst we were asleep (which is pretty scary in itself!!) and stole my handbag & iPod. mad.gif They used my credit card 3 times at On The Run at Salisbury and twice at Woolies at Mawson Lakes between 6.54 and 7.25 this morning before it got cancelled.

I've since had a couple of phone calls - one of my cards was found along North East Road near Holden Hill by a council worker & the other one was dropped in a letterbox at Blair Athol. Since I know a few Anthemites live out that way, please please please let me know if you or anyone you know finds my bag (black and lime green leather - it's handmade and quite distinctive) dumped somewhere or anything with the name Tara Mitchell on it. The cards have obviously all been cancelled, but I'm really hoping someone will find my driver's license and my fave sunglasses (red Cerutti's which are a discontinued line, can't get them anymore sad.gif )

I know it's a long shot, but Adelaide's a small place sometimes!! Any help would be appreciated!!

Yup - Woolies have already confirmed they've got footage of the register that my card was used at!!! thumbsupsmiley.png Suckers - how dumb are you???!!!!

Must've been total amateurs as well - took my keys to a brand new company car, but obviously couldn't find it (they exited out the back, it was parked out the front) and left behind a screwdriver they used to get in, which apparently has DNA all over it. Go CSI Adelaide!!! biggrin.gif

Has anyone got any good news stories about stuff they got back after being stolen?? Could do wtih some happy tales!!

If you have your ipod case that you purchased the ipod in it will have a serial number on it somewhere and you should call apple and the cops with it and if it has been taken to cashies or something they wont be able to sell it because it is stolen property.

Done! Apperently Crime Converters send a list every Monday of items they've received in during the week, so it should be pretty easy to find!

We've always had one under the bed!!

Anyway, my handbag & driver's license was handed in to Hindley St police station yesterday - no sunnies sad.gif or other hand-bag contents (make-up, lipstick, phone, car keys etc) but at least I don't have to replace my driver's license thumbsupsmiley.png

That is bad! Sounds typical that the cards were used out in the nthrn 'burbs. I'll keep an eye out.
I know how you feel- completely violated!! Lucky you were not hurt- it could have been worse!

But I have had things recovered before- Adelaide is small so dont lose hope!
My car was stolen outside uni late last year- no insurance!!!!
But I got a call from my friend saying he saw it and I got it back the next day! Lucky smile.gif
