A very good friend of mine is running "ManHunt" competition at HQ...

Any guy interested in entering tonights heat or any heats in the future at HQ please PM me... No experience necesary... Just have confidence, good looks and required clothing -- shirt, pants, jacket and board shorts...

Now THAT I would be interested in for sure babe. I love dancing and I can move real smooth to the groove, etc, etc, etc. I also might be interested in the Man Hunt comp in the future. Gotta show that a guy in his 30's can still look good especially that I'm getting a bit ripped and toned and smoothed allover

Last night was a huge success... Thanks to everyone who entered.

There are 2 more Man Hunt heats left Wed 9th and Wed 16th @ HQ starting at 10.30pm with rehersal 6.30 - 7.30.

Finals are Wed 23rd May....!

There is a National Dancing Comp (male and female) coming later in the year.... Register your interest to me by PM...

It is open for all spectators... next 3 wednesdays in a row... around 10.30 ish start...

It's always good to have a happy crowd at these things to boost ur confidence when ur on stage so please feel free to come along and cheer the guys on.

i dont like entering things unless im going to win. Not winning doesnt do alot for a persons confidence

I dont win everything I go in... but it is really good networking for other jobs and u meet great people and honestly... from my experience the other entrants are always sooo friendly and a HUGE confidence boost...

After the first time I did it I was a nervous wreck but the owner of the Talent company urged me to go in another comp and the more I did it, the more confident I got and I was getting a top 3 place in everything I went in...

Confidence is worth more than looks in a lot of circumstances...
It's how u carry yourself. There were other girls out there who were stunning but didn't get into the finals and I put it down to lack of confidence...

When I did my 1st Planet Dance...man I was so damn nervous but everyone was so friendly and I met some good people along the way. And I had fun. You gotta have fun at these things.

The last one the prize was a job as a dancer @ HQ (among other things like money etc...)

That might give everyone an idea on the type of dancing

a friend of mine was in a comp at HQ about 3 or 4 weeks ago, and he said that it was REALLY CHEESY. now... his dancing is pretty cheesy IMO... so for him to say its really cheesy... means that I'd probably scare them if I went in and started cranking it! hahaha

that and I'm not a size 6 or 8 - which seems to be a prerequisite (sp?) for HQ dancers

The new comp this year isn't to be a dancer at HQ, just using it as an example... This is a National Dancing Comp....

When a flyer is released I'll post it up... Can always watch the first heat to see what u think...

Also not too sure what venue will be either just yet... early days

I probably mean more so as to the quantity than anything - people tend to rather just stand around or if they do dance they just do the "hop scotch" style.. Just my personal observation..

Sounds vaguely familiar to the Planet Dance competition a few years back.

Thanks for the encouragement bro but I'll still have a think about it. Plus I reckon they'd have more R&B/HipHop sorta styles in the comp with the recent influx of movies like Stomp the Yard and such. Do people still dance club style or has that been slowly phased out??

I would say that it wouldn't be all that hip hop influenced at all... main reason being... its at HQ - a commercial DANCE club.

I'm going by what Danni said in the previous posts that the prize was cash and it was a national competition. It just really reminded me of the Planet Dance comps that were held at the then Heaven nightclub, then were staged at the now deceased Planet nightclub. Any styles were allowed and the first one that I was in even had a contemporary dancer there. Turbs and I were both in the ones at the Planet.
