I'm in the market for a new phone, but am not sure what to get??

With all the new technology lately, its hard to keep up. What does everyone have at the moment and how do they rate them?

I reckon I want a flip phone, something girlie... with all the bells and whistles...

What does everyone think I should get??

list of dream features...

1. bluetooth
2. camera / video recorder
3. plays mp3s and wavs
4. will sync directly with my Entourage email/address book/calendar/note/tasks software

i need a new photo.. mine is at the end of its ilfe also

a word of advice kandii...

if ur thinking about getting a sony ericsson, or probably any other phone with a joystick, be careful. ive had mine for about 18 months, and the joystick is buggered, and the keys are really sticky...ive heard the same from friends with this type of phone...

i need a new phone 2...this thread will come in handy

except no>> 3. plays mp3s and wavs << so my happy tree friends wav file ring tone won't work...

its funny how reliant we are over here on our mobile phones and text messaging. talking to my friend in canada, who said the service isnt as good over there!. also the text msging crazy is nothing like is has become over here!

we have become too reliant i say!

any form of communication is GOOD.

Although, there is a severe lack of it in places where it is really important IE MY PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT!!!!!!!!

Its really starting to shit me... i don't know why its such a problem. we have email, and we all shit in ear shot of each other grrrr

my mobile costs over the years would have me a pretty nice car by now I reckon! Or at least, a car...

I just got another new phone today....its the Samsung D500 slide phone...

Very nice, has built in MP3 player and also comes with a little speaker you plug in on the side for those boring times. All the gadgets and gizmos that go with phones these days come with it am really happy with it

I like the LG J3100 ?? I think thats the number of it... anyway, its the orange flip phone. with nemo on the display models outer screen

I'd really like to come accross someone that has it so i can have a play to see if I like it. Does anyone have one?????

happyb has got a very sexy nokia 7260. It has all the dream features and looks so stylish with it's black art deco design. *sigh*

YAY - yah yah, urban phones @ golden grove...

nice fone buph - they seem like a solid little phone! love the slide...!!

I have a Samsung E800 in stock right now, http://203.185.209.162/mobile/
look there, brand new, warranty etc etc for $350 cash today!!!

Also have a LG T510 i think it is, 1.3 megapixel camera etc for 500$ cash, awesome phone!!
got a few others in also!

i have a sony ericsson T610...

overall its a pretty good phone, but afta only 18 months, the joysticks starting to play up...

I feel naked without my phone, its like my own personal computer, stores all the info i need and also takes photos and has a video camera also.

It's a LG8110 3 phone and overall im happy with it.

I've been a Nokia man from 12 years.. got my first one on my 21st Birthday back in 1993. I'm think of changing to a Sony Ericsson... anyone got any advice?

joysticks r good, u just gotta learn to use the keypad as much as possible...only use the joystick when absolutely necessary

Yep, Nokia`s are now officially crap! they tried to go out on a limb with crazy designs, totally opposite to what they were popular for - good, solid easy to use phones..

Samsung and Sony Ericsson`s are where its at... Motorola = POO, Nokia, ok if u want an ugly phone.

Thats personal preferance ppl`s, best bet is to read about and play with as many phones as u can. then decide for urself.

i bought a sony ericsson Z800i 2day, i had a sony ericsson Z1010 b4 that and have had no problems with them at all, i love them so much! just say away from motorola RaZA V3, a few of my mates have them and they i find them hard 2 use and reception is sketchy sometimes due 2 there being no arial.....

I've had a Z600 for abouyt a year. Nothing has gone wrong with it all, but nothing overly exciting feature wise. Missing a lot of features from my old Nokia like speakerphone, radio, etc, but far more reliable

im using a motorrola A920 touch screen. its wicked and so tuff. the software is real easy to use and the camera is the best around. they now have updated to the A1000. only with 3 .

Sony Ericssons are very good phones.. they are getting better because of Sony. If I get another phone, gonna get one of them. I have a Nokia 6610 - boring. works at times, been reliable, but nothing to get excited about.

Ericssons used to have alot of probs with batteries, but my understanding now is they are no longer an issue..

Ive always had Nokias! I find em to be pretty user friendly! And they are pretty long lasting!

Hay slide i can get my hands on a brand new Motorola V3 dirt cheap i was wandering should i get my hands on it? I had a look on their site and thay look pretty funky and the features look good but was wandering what are thay like in reception and relibility??? Its the one on the motorola commerical

K700i`s are wikid phones, nicely styled and well featured.

HArley - can get u a V3 in mate, but they are poo. we`v had heaps back unfortunaly..
i gotta say tho - ebay is the cheapest for outright phones

Ok these are the features I want in my new phone, and if anyone can recommend something with them all that would be fantabulous!!!

Camera
quality colour screen
Flip (maybe)
Must have alarm clock/calendar/reminders and all them necessities
small
speaker phone
true tone
must not be ugly!!
FM radio would be a welcomed bonus, but not entirely a necessity

I reckon thats it....

Any suggestions???

what about something bad??? I got a Motorola V600... I'll never go motorola again, the menu system gets REALLY slow after 6 months of usage, all the crome bits on the cover scratch REALLY easilly, and the outside screen bit is convex, so it scratches REALLY easilly.. very bad designs..

Kandii: my mate has a Samsung E800 For sale at the moment, its the tiny one where the keys slide down.

Also if anyones interested I have a Nokia 5510 (qwerty keyboard) for sale, its just a basic phone, but has mp3 player and radio
