We are looking for models to enter in the Best Model Competition...

We are looking for people interested in entering tonights heat at Tea Tree gully Hotel...!

Start is 10.30pm

1st segment is After 5 - being coctail dresses and heels... elegant.

2nd segment is Swimwear - choice of bikini or 1 piece and heels.

Please PM me with your interest and I'll provide u with my email to submit a photo.

Height is not an issue either and you do not need to be stick thin... they are looking for healthy fit girls... Confidence will get you far... but even if you have no experience in modelling at all, do give it a shot. There are plenty of first timers in this comp...

Yep there's one next week also after the heats at Tea Tree gully hotel are finished and the Final has been done it will be held at another venue.... TBA

So, how did the first heat go? I'm thinking of heading in and checking out the second heat this friday.

I didn't go to see it as I was moving, but we had 9 girls and it went smooth as always from what I've been told...

I'm not going in any comps this year as I'm getting ready to move overseas, but I might head down to watch some of the heats before I go.

how many girls are there usually in any heat?

I thought about going into all of these sort of comp's. I used to know a girl who enterred in them as well, but I just don't have the time nor the transport.

Don't think it's my kind of thing anyway.

I'f the Friday night heats were on at Sempahore then I'd check it out.

Usually about 14... thats why the first few heats are always the best to get into... not as many entrants so it betters your chances...

Even those who don't take it seriously - do it you'll have a ball...

The after parties are always awesome, they are held a week or so after the last final for all the venues... So much fun...

Why what? Why don't I think that it's my kind of thing?

Not too sure. I love my body and am confident about it and they way I look, but I'm not all that comfortable in parading myself around (no offense intended, at loss for a better explanation) in front of a crowd. I'm a very nervous person. I HATED drama in school. Absolutely hated it, from memory I think I failed it every year.

I envy girls that can do it. I think that's awesome! It's one thing to be able to love your body and the way you look and have confidence, but the confidence it would take to actually get up there in your kini's in front of a crowd and be judged is (to me) freakin huge! And any girl that can do it get's my thumbs up

I've been a promo girl for a few places and have had alot of support from people as far as these sort of comps, magazine shoots and actual modelling go. I just can't seem to do it. I have tried, and am still trying, it's something that I wouldn't mind doing/trying out, when I get the confidence.

Yeah i get what you mean... i'm the same as you.. love the way i look and am totally confident but just way to nervous about getting up and parading infront of ppl!

I'm going to go check it out this friday see the girls and see what it's like! But like they say.. you got to give it a try and keep doing it to gain confidence! That and never expect to win on your first try... just keep at it and that's how you get the confidence.

I hated drama too, but i was forced to get up in a lead roll one year. I just sucked it in and did it and found it really wasn't that hard!!

can someone take photos of the swimwear girls so i can...judge them...from home?

Yer, I'm going to go back to modelling for my best friend (who is trying to break into the photography scene) and hopefully the more I do that the more confidence I will gain!

Well I was there Fri and got talked into entering by the event organiser as a fill in as they were short by 1 entrant and I got through so I'll be in the finals on the 8th...

All girls there is 1 heat left this friday night at the Gully, I encourage all to give it a go if it is something they are interested in...

The catwalk and set up at this venue is the best I have seen in a while, you are really looked after. Great dressing rooms and free champaign to calm the nerves.

The entrants are awesome girls and very supportive. My friend Vanessa will be there to help anyone who is a bit nervous and can run through walking and posing with anyone who feels they need a little more confidence, but it's great fun and not too serious...

The competition wasn't really too tough last friday, and if they are short for models in the finals due to people pulling out etc, they tend to put through more than the top 3 models aswell and I know of a few who have pulled out due to personal issues so your chances are increased...
