I don't really have any fond memories of the show It seems that EVERY year I go, without fail it WILL rain.

Rain aside though I love the show.

I'm not a big rides girl, I value my life. Maintenance is becoming a bit slack if you ask me, and I don't want to be the next casualty on the "Double Dragon" or "The Wipeout".

I love my sideshows though. This year I have en excuse to win lots of teddies too

I wasn't planning on going to the Royal Show this year, but Ace insisted.

I'm looking forward to seeing the pet stuff and getting Skitzy a showbag And the sideshows, as rigged as they are they entertain me Oh and all the glorious food...FOOOD!

fairy floss - sugar overload. The zipper is the best and only ride to go on. Other than not much really - doubt I will be going this year unless my mate is showing his dogs

What kind of dogs does he have?

I used to love the Zipper!!

Can't go on any rides this year though even if I wanted to lol.

I wish I could be a showbag tester Think I'm a bit too old though

OMG I remember going on the zipper when I was 10... freaked the crap out of me, didn't go on it again till I was 17. Isn't it banned now from all the breakdowns??

I love seeing all the animals, especially the kitties

I love the show I usually go twice, once with friends, once with My Mum and Jordan

I like to wander the pavillions and check out stuff, I like to watch some of the stuff on the oval, ferris wheel etc

I love the sideshows, but no one ever want's to go on the rides with me.. i usually base my show day on the Dog Shows that are on.. i try and make sure i go on the day they are showing the Engilsh Bulldog!

I doubt i'll be going this year tho.. but i will be giving some cash to my friends to grab me some Berty Beatle Showbags.. still the best value showbag available!!

I will be working there again but I'm not sure if I'm selling showbags or working in the Rave Cave but I'll let you know when I do so you can come say hi

Yay the show I MUST watch the horses because I know half the people that ride there, and the CFS performance thing because my mate is in the CFS and told me for the past 5 years to come and see him but I never have

my mate has Pyrenian Mountain Dogs - big beautiful things - so fluffy and great temperament!

now living jsut down the road form the showgrounds, so i have no excuses not to rock up this time!!!

I used to love going on it at night at the Gawler Show

And yer, I do remember last year hearing that it was banned. Wonder if it could make a come back?

*shudders* The Ghost Train tramutised me as a little kid. Not the ride itself but the guy in the gorilla suit trying to get people to go on it Haven't been able to go on it for years!


Oooh...They sound gorgeous. I'll try and spot one!

Cant miss them - about the size of a St Bernard, probably bigger with arctic white coats that have some markings on them around the face/snout area. Micala Bana (McLeod's Daughters - not I dont watch it, seriously ) has one.

Cant miss my mate either - about 6'2" - 130kg - massive red zz top beard - looks like a massive bikie!

If he shows his dogs I will go - other than that the show for me is ho-hum!

AND was the zipper really banned? Such a shame as that was a kickass ride! That and the old Soopa-Loop!!

and yeah the zipper is banned, way too many break downs. back when I was in Lincoln it broke down heaps too. I don't think i'll be on ANY rides thanks.. I'd rather take the photos and hold ppls bags while they go on them plus its not good on my back and can pull it out pretty bad!!

i cannot wait for the show, im a massive rides fan and the side shows and the showbags and the animals... OMG i just love it all!!

Well I must say I am pretty unimpressed with the showbags.

And Ikea have a showbag for the show. WTF! Don't they make enough money?

But I'm going for the sideshows anyway

i'd like to go but i don't wanna have to pay a fortune to get in. I really only go for the rides tho don't really think showbags are worth it.
they should have an entry fee the free rides!! hehe then i'd go every year.

woop woop show time, im gonna eat so much junk then ride the nastiest ride i can find.

Might go to the show when i get back! should be fun to just walk around maybe go on some of the rides.. tho not the Mixer.. that gave me such a pressure headache from all the upside down spinning!

Havnt been for years as it doesnt really intrest me but looks like this year im taking the better half. Hope it will be a fun day!

Well, my little brother has picked out his showbags, and out of that I have picked out which ones I will buy for him.

I've picked out a few showbags to get my mum.

And I've picked out one of two for myself.

There are a whole bunch of bags not actually listed, such as the Nintendo bag For $12.50 you get a Mario DS bag, a Mario Trucker Cap, Mario Rubix Cube and a Mushroom Lanyard. I'm definitely getting a few of those... ebay re-sale here we come

It may not be in that p*ssy little magazine from The Advertiser but ALL showbags are on the website.

Not so good for kids with no way of getting to the internet, but I guess they just listed the ones in The Advertiser thingo that the deemed more popular.
