Bdo 2008

Does anyone know of when the 2008 line up will be released? any rumours of who could be there

i heard rage against teh machine were doing a world tour about that time.. could be total codshit tho... but would be fraking awesome to see them here

Nah...I overheard a few people saying that RATM were gonna do their own separate gig away from BDO but then that could all be crap as well.

BDO lineup will be released around October, same as EVERY year.

They don't usually do it any later or any earlier than that.

I'm very interested to see who's going.

I won't be able to go, but I'm not that bummed about it. The way last year's was set up (drink tokens) really annoyed me. So maybe taking a year off will give me my spirit for it all back hehe.

But I might buy Ace a ticket for Christmas so he can go and get boozy with his mates

smashing pumpkins? Didn't you hear RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE! i don't care who else plays.... i'd pay $130 for a BDO ticket just to see them!!! The other 2 concerts (melbourne and sydney) sold out in record time, and good luck trying to find a CHEAP ticket being sold anywhere!!!

Anyone know who is rumoured to be playing in the boiler room? i heard Carl Cox and Chemical Brothers (which i don't think is true as they have their own tour happening)

We just got new RATM stock in at work, somehow I don't think it will last very long hehe.

is there anything besides their music that makes them stand out.. where they political etc?

yeah RATM have been big supporters of freeing Tibet from China's reign of power with no hope so far.

they are very political... they were massive activists in the form of Mexican liberation... they also played on wall street, having a big effect, and the stock stopped trading while they got things cleared up.

they didn't even have much of a Boiler Room last year, as I think they are trying to get back to being more of a live bands festival

I do hope they bring back the full tilt Boiler Room though, as they always go off!!!!

well even if she wasn't impressed doesn't mean she has to bold the NOT part to moshing to them... I take offence to that... they are a great musical band and have been around for a decade... they're still selling out albums even after the band didn't exist anymore... they only got together again in 2007 to do one final american tour, and they decided to do australia... this will be the last chance ever to see them ever again... and they are one of the greatest rock bands i know...
