I recently hired five DVD's over the weekend and thought hey what a great idea for a forum. So here it is the official anthems movie review forum.

Post any opinions or anything of any relevence to the movies.

THE FORGOTTEN

I thought this was really good, it so was not what I was I expecting keep ya guessing for awhile, then wondeering where or what will happen next? Jullianne Moore does a great job as acting this distarut mother. The movie portrays the sci-fi side of things very well with out becoming to star trek like (excuse the pun)


ELEKTRA

This was a dissapointment to me I was expecting so much more from this movie, and it did not deliver. The special effects are second to none tho, great use of visual effects that really made you go like wow. But other than that not really much there.
(just my opiinion that's all)

SHAUN OF THE DEAD

If you liked dawn of the dead, and you love british humour. Then this is for you lots of one liners and great british humour.

TAXI

This was a big surprse to me, I actually enjoyed this and thought it had enough storyline to keep it going. The car chases and driving skills are amazing and the actual car they use pretty impressive. (all you rev heads ). The story line was pretty predictable but none the less enough good laughs and action to keep you entertained.

TEAM AMERICA

For all of you who have not sen this yet...what you doin. This is one of those cult classics like Beavis and Butthead that you just have to see once. (if not twice ). I enjoyed this, but then again I love cartoons too > I wont say to mucha bout this one as I willo let you ppls see it.

oh, team america, haven't laughed so much over a sex scene haven't seen it properly but its hell funny..

Video shops are a thing fo the past for me these days. I prefer the internet

I've got Taxi and Team America sitting there waiting for me to watch...and I might go watch Team America based on what you guy had to say about it. oh, and I kept hearing so many quotes out of it all last weekend I figured I should watch it!

I also watched Elektra and thought it was ok but is lacking something. What that something is, Im not quite sure.

I know this isn't a new movie, but last night I watched "What Dreams May Come"

I can't decide whether I like it or not...

it had a lot of creativity in it, and was interesting... but yeah, I dunno.

Has any one else seen it?? what did you think?

We also watched Peter Pan - the one that came out about this time last year on DVD, not animated... I love it!!!! Jordan loves it too. And even tho its the same story, he now prefers to watch the movie, not the original disney cartoon - thank god. We were starting to get very sick of it!!!

Heya ppls I just watched another move ..surprise surprise....

I saw Madagascar over this weekend, actually i own it now, biut thats besides the point

I thought this was heaps good, it has humour, great one liners and its a cartoon!!! What more could I want. If your humming and harring about going to see this one, I would go and see it.

Has anyone herad anything on WAR of the WORLDS yet, am in two minds on this one.

Also what does everyone think about the new BATMAN movie, it has received outstanding reviews so far.

I just got Son of The Mask today so am gonna watch in the next few days, so I will let everyone know what it is like.

Freddy got fingered. Now thats a fucked up funny movie!! My mate is twisted in head like me and he hasnt seen it till a couple weeks ago and all he does is quote him. He loved it. Also i have being watching the Tom Green DVD's which has episodes on it. Being buying them of ebay at next to nothing. I loose it when thay are on. Nothing but stupid, idiototic toilet humour!!!

I hate Big Brother so much, it's the biggest crock of shit. It's like watching RaveAdelaide on TV

The only Big Brother entrant I can remember that is any good was Paul from last year, the Surfy guy who stirred shit pretty well, made it half worth watching. Now it's all morons crying about eachother and trying to get with other housemates.

Kick out all the women or all the guys and lets see punch ups! now ill buy that for a dollar!

If Big Brother wanted to be really fun, he should have put random couples in the house, but they aren't allowed to tell other housemates they are couples. Then you'd have the other guys trying to pick up the chicks from the couples and that'd cause heaps of unconfortable situations and make it worth watching haha!

I also miss Scrubs with Zach Braff.....Anyone seen Garden State yet. Thought it was pretty good.

I saw Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxey. Would like to say i have read the books and they are better but, there is something rather hilarous about watching people get smacked in the face by shovels . Um if you seen it you will know what i am talking about.

We watched Elektra last night and I really liked it! Keep in mind I haven't seen daredevil and am not familiar with the comic where both characters originated from. And I really like Jennifer Garner - its not one of her better movies, but I liked in none the less!!!

i saw Batman begins last week, and out of all of them i recon this had to be the best, a bit darker than the others, but very good.

has any one found out bout dark cryistsal 2, i love the orginal movie, it used to scare me when i was i kid, i wanted it on dvd, but u couldnt get it here in aus, only in a box set with some other old movie, but i managed to get a copy of it on dvd, ppl thought i was stupied for wanting that movie, i just told then it was a classic

A Brief Synopsis of the Film... This is all I can find about the sequel to the dark crystal at the moment but it is definately going ahead

Also just finished watching 'Son of the Mask'. It was pretty good if you like animation and side splittin humour in parts, definately one you will either hate or love. Not much story line just animated humour .....bottom line if you like cartoons and animation then you will like this

That movie is really good fo_sho_man made me watch some dumb movie the other night... think it was called the underground comedy something... dont waste your money hiring it

Okay ppl I said I would let you know what Mr & Mrs Smith was like ......we'll it was a great movie, really kept you on your toes, great fight scenes, Angelina Jolie is hot as alwayz. If ya like action with great fight scenes then go and see this one i totally enjoyed, even tho I was freezin in my car.

Just finished wathcing the 1953 version last night... trying to find a copy of the 1938 radio broadcast that freaked out brittian... would like to hear that before see the movie!

I think I should read the book... but since I've just download the 2005 movie... I think I'll watch it first!

i watched series of unfortunate events with Jim Carey last night, it was very different, great line up of stars, although it was not that entertaining.

I hear its a completely different movie unrelated to the other 4 and they are beringing out sequals.

yeah i've seen it..

it was interesting [though i was already familiar and open to the views presented], done in a doco style with a fictional story tying it all together, funny in parts, fairly clear while presenting sometimes complex ideas..

a little bit too long i thought, and strays slightly into new agey stuff, but interesting and worth seeing nevertheless..

topics cover:

thought and reality [quantum physics, parallel universes etc]
emotions and chemicals [hypothalamus, addictions, enzymes and behaviour etc]
ah that's all i can remember for now

you feel really positive as you leave the theatre

sounds good - and thought provoking
those concepts make you look at everything fron a different angle

hope its still running !

• Bewitched - ok... hate the lead male actor, in everthing he does

just watched "a very long engagement" - excellent french flick, with a cameo from jodie foster. highly recommended

Batman: Wicked!!! def worth going to see and made me wana go watch the whole series all over again

War of the worlds: Started out ok....kinda thought it went to crap towards the end...um not the ending i expected and really felt it was a let down. oh well, other than that i really enjoyed it
