Date: 3rd July (Sunday)

Time: 10am

Place: Big W, Goodwood Rd. (opposite Cross Rd Bowling)

Distance 280km

This is a cruise with a twist. There will be a forked intersection during the cruise where you can choose between Tarmac or Dirt!!!!  For those with a Rally Driver Within, this is your time to play. The dirt section is about 2km while the alternative tarmac section is 12km. Then both will meeting up again for the rest of the cruise.

Cost per car: $2 member. $5 others.

See you there!!

The above is a cruise being put on by the car club I am in. The fee is to cover CAMS insurance, not for your car or you, but to other people's properties, eg, if you run up the back for an M5, you wont be covered by your normal insurance, but this CAMS insurance will cover you. The cost also covers the cost of the course notes. I am planning on going and will have my anthems sticker on the back window smile.gif

Any car can join, but do remember this, don't drive beyond your limits, these guys own EVOs, GSRs, VR-4s and some crazy like mirages to name a few, but great crowd, will be a great day..
foonjir
speaking of mirages, ever seen "Mr Bass" about?

*rubs hands together and laughs with a distinctly evil flavour to it*

With an 33 that rides harder than a V8 supercar (confirmed by a V8SC engineer), I love a nice smooth tarmac section with some fodder to eat up an spit out LOL

mmmmmmmm, so tempting smile.gif

Dav, its not a race mate, but come along if you like..
I should take along the *no fear* ute, that is, no fear in breaking it and smashing it into 33's laugh.gif joking mate..
scatteredr
these are a good bunch of guys and i will be there...

Catch me if you dare...!

good luck mate.. I thought I saw the canary the other day..

hold on, we don't have canaries here do we? they are white stickers in adelaide aye?
Davinr
Thanks to a regency bluder, they booked my car in for a 20min re-inspection, instead of a 40min first inspection. "Sorry, we can't do that today, come back another day"

The saga continues. I just want to get rid of that damn sticker on my window. I get harrassed by the cops more than normal with it on there sad.gif
fo_sho_manr
I bet.. how pathetic is it getting these days? they defect you like its a cool thing to do and they stuff you around big time..
foonjir
but it is cool, havent ya heard!

wats defected on it atm dav?
Davinr
It's defected for being too low. It's got Apexi adjustable rate/height coilovers, and the guys at regency reckon they won't pass it with them on there, even if it meets height requirements. They know I can just drive out the door and lower it again.

Amazingly they admited that they have an unwritten rule not allowing adjustable suspension. It's not law, just their bluff. The vehicle actually meets all legislation and regulations.

I've got my local MP investigating, but I imagine nothing will happen until regency fail it during the inspection, then the car gets taken off the road for a year while and I take up the legal battle mad.gif

damn regency guys mad.gif , u cant do any thing now days with out getting slaped with a sticker, my mates 04 WRX just done for being to low, so up it went again to standard hight, and now its just waiting to get in now, 1 month b4 he can get in, at least he can drive it.

i got done once b4, a few yrs ago for steering wheel and tyres, even thou they where booked in for later on that week, he was just being a Ahole bout it all, even had the card with the date on to say the time. but all i got was a cop shop show up, which was ok rolleyes.gif , cause if i had a regency, i would have got done for a hell of alot more cool.gif

sorry that was just my wawa!! laugh.gif
foonjir
dav, that sucks sad.gif guess you just need to strike the right guy who will let it pass.

my front windows are at 35% tint and thats a no no. regency noted it when i was having the car checked so i could transfer the reg to SA, but i'm yet to be pulled over for it.
fo_sho_manr
yeah Michael, its 75% on front and 35% on rears.. weird law.. but if you get mirror tint, it looks alike a rally car biggrin.gif
