Hey everyone

I have been thinking about user names, I have seen some that have made me wonder how the user came up with it and what it means to them. So I thought I would take this opportunity to ask everyone

Do u have an interesting story behind ur user name?

Mine is not that interesting, but ill share it anyway. A few yrs back I was looking for a new phone cover for my new mobile. I didn’t know what sort I wanted but I knew I wanted the colours to be bright, so I found a nice yellow and pink one with the word Vixen down it.
I loved the word vixen and the colours on the cover, the whole lot really described my personality.
And then the OC gave me the rest of my name (those of u who watch it will know what im talking about). Summers had a character in a comic drawn after her called Little Miss Vixen. And I liked the Miss part of it.
Yea so that’s my story.

I'm not sure if I want to tell everyone the meaning of my name, I think its got to be one of the most unique usernames on the forums

Can anyone have a guess (if I have told you u cant cheat!)??? The first half should be easy for the SCI-FI fans out there, but the second half would require your mind to be twisted to the same frequency as mine is

Lets have some guesses?

and the second half is an abbeviation of a common saying that was "the hype" a few years ago..

well mines based upon a few things.. Delusional because coming from the country u tend to belive the best in people, i got very badly screwed over by some one i cared alot for here in adelaide, used to use the nick name KantSpel as if u've seen half my posts im not exactly the words biggest user of spell check

so i got screwed over big time and decided i must be delusional to think that city folk are as kind hearted and trsutworthy as country folk (*hic*). and DelusionL as an old chat server i used to use Ozorg in IRC had a 9 letter limit. so i dropped the a and became DelusionL
it keeps with my bad spelling and ment somthing to me personally...

well... funchi is one of my nicknames that came from my surname.... and foonji came from funchi when a friend tried to get a little kid to call me funchi and they blurted out 'foonji' instead. so i use a mix of funchi/foonji depending on where i am

Why Pink Bear?
Well back in 1990 I went on a day time rave called 'Down on the Farm'. And there was a squeaky toy there that was a pink bear (see my avatar). It was a very bright day, and my consciousness had been radically altered, so he looked soooooooo pink.

Then almost a year later I started The Core. Hurrah! And the Pink Bear became the letters editor (except that it was really me, do you think people guessed?).

PB, as he became known to his friends, took on a life of his own. He attended all the best clubs. Visited sick ravers in hospital. And was kidnapped and ransomed, twice!!

He had loads of buddies at The Core. There was Raelene (a yellow fluffy seal), NEP Bear (that's Not Especially Pink Bear, PB's cousin. He went on holiday with someone, but was confiscated by Mossad, the Israeli Secret Service, and was never seen again -- absolutely true), Flash (a red fluffy thing), Aristotle (a yellow rubber duck) and some more I don't remember.

So I thought PB should come back for anthems. Yayy!!

didnt quiet know why a guy would call himself pinkbear......but now it all makes sence
good story, i think it is one of the best stories

Almost every second item of clothing I own is pink.

On saturday night, I went to a friends house, not even paying attention when I got dressed, didn't realise until somebody said something, I was wearing bright pink pants (fairy floss colour) with a pink jacket, and pink scarfe... I also have pink in my hair 9although its almost all washed out)

PINK IS GOOD!! I'm glad you've embraced your pinkness PB

I'm from there too...Lock to be precise...that town was just way too wild for me so I had to leave....gotta say the only thing I miss about it is the beaches...so nice, white sand, blue water, brilliant surf - the way a beach is meant to be...not different shades of grey sand and water like Glenelg looks like to me...Which part of the bad old West Coast are you from...did we play your town in the local footy??

yep, Shaun was/is Tumbys coach....and yes, Kylie is now Kylie Craig (or is it Kylie Kyle??)....I left there as soon as I finished school which was a long time ago (89 - jebus I'm old) and hardly ever go back there anymore....I miss surfing at Elliston though - even though you were possibly shark bait....but always lots of dolphins and seals there all the time too so the risk was worth it to surf wit those cuties!

actually its kylie kylie... i always got it mixed up... Craig was brother.. mark was brother.. kylie was sister. married Mark Kylie....

so now is kylie kylie... so confusing!

ive lost two mates to sharks.. one whiel surfing one while ab diving.. another mate's got a bite mark across his leg and chest.. and his baord on his wall with atleast 5-6 teeth still stuck in it. and one around his neck on a chain...

i only had one real scare.. chased to the beach by a bronzie.. but back out surfing again a hr or so later.. surfing when a school of salmon got thru is scarey tho.. as theres alwasys sharks aroudn salmon schools...

used to sail alot and saw sharks a few times while out. while in lincoln and practicing for national titles there was a yatch not far form me that was attacked and had its centre baord (keel) bitten by a shark, mean while i was tipping my yacth over and having a rest in the water.....

Buph is just his nickname... don't know how he got it... I'll let him explain that....

i think a lot of people take SpecialK's out of context, and think it has something to do with a common reference to k.

Um.... this is what I've figured out from her user name.
Her name starts with K.
Her email is specK which can be taken two ways, short for specialK ("Spesh"K) and as the word speck, coz she also wears glasses!
SpecialK is pretty fitting for her IMO, she's a bloody talented, and focused young woman!

Mine is a similar story to foonji's. Little kids cant pronounce my real name - Leona. It always ends up sounding like lolo. Now my friends use lolo as a nickname as well.

BTW, very interesting shark stories, delusionL. Sorry to hear about your mates, that would be tough in such a small community.

My user name came about because the day i signed up for anthems.com.au a friend of mine had called me his "funky little chicken" which i found rather cute so i used it that day for my anthems username.
i have never met the guy, he lives in QLD he is Beeboy on here.I met him through a friends website www.debunkmusic.com/forum
I think he only registered to anthems to try and find photos of me. LOL since i have never met him i think thats fair enough. Mind you i send him picks from the events i go to i guess he thought i was holding out on the juicy pics. He was wrong..

Lolo, its tuff on a small area where every one knows each other. its pretty dramatic. but the youth i suicide and raod death in rural areas is much more devastating. i would not have enuff fingers to count the deaths of young freinds to drugs booze cars or suicide.

I'm glad to say I have never lost a friend or relative to road accidents or suicide (touch wood). however, I have witnessed a suicide attempt, so glad that that person is okay now even though I haven't seen that person in years, but I know he is okay..

my last name, which i thought would be way to normal and lastname-ish to have anything funny about it, sounds like Rav4...

from Ravfour, came Ravvy and Rav...

and Rav is what my buds call me, but cos not many ppl knew me on here, i took the more sheila sounding one and became the one and almighty Ravaliscious Ravvy

Its not substance related I no 4 sure! I think its cause my frinds were calling me 'K' for ages...and they figure im pretty special I still get called 'K' a lot tho...or SpecK for short

When i was young i read a lot of comic books and one of my favourites was the series of spiderman comics that todd mcfarlane wrote. spiderman had an alien life form as a costume (he had a black outfit) but it tried to take over his mind etc. so spidey trashed the suit and it found another host and turned him into the villian Venom. Part of the suit got away somehow (don't really remember) and took over a serial killer and spawned the super villian called CARNAGE. That is what my avatar pic is. When I was at school and a try hard graffiti artist (loosely translated as crap!) my tag was Karnage.
and i have been using it ever since.
so there you go. I named myself after a psychotic serial killer comic book character!

and no, before anyone jumps to the apparently obvious conclusion, it doesn't have anything to do with the effects of any substances..

when i was 17 and first got my lil mazda rx7, i loved the buzz of rota's and the buzz of mine, so i got myself the number plates image not archived: back.jpg

Couple of years ago now, a cop, while defecting me actually asked me what my plates meant (i know now she thought it was a drug-related name), i obliviously told her about my love of the sound of rota's - at the time i had no clue that certain magical lollies could getting you buzzn too.. ahh so young and clueless was i.

pretty cool now tho, my plates n nickname have a double meaning

well due to my name being what it is... i have in the past been mistaken for a girl many a time... and on a couple of occasions i've had fellow male users try and pick me up, til they saw a profile pic.

I'm a bloke, and the sex symbol on anthems is quite handy..

basically my name is simple.. My last name is D'Andrea
I changed it to DeeAndrea because previously on a forum i had the apostrophe there and it didn't like it.. came up as D'///Andrea or something similar. So since then i've had it this way.. people suggested changing it to a more masculine name, but i dont care. I like this name and i'm sticking with it, it's part of me... plus most people now know i'm a guy so it doesn't matter

yeah they're gold, my mate got ones with black and white spirals.. but they dont stand out anything like the red and yellow.. so depending on what sorta splash u wanna create depends on what style u should go for.

Mine were expensive, $150 for the 1st pair!
But ya get a decent amount of wears out of them so they last a while.

actually... in saying that, someone came up to me at pendulum and looked at me funny. i asked what was wrong, 'they said they had never seen my real eye colour'

i know a guy with one Green eye and one blue eye.. both very intencely bright... and that is his REAL eyes, my eyes tend to change shades from greeen to blue to grey (if pissed off) but those lense's freak u out at times

where do u get them from? just optical shop or something?

to enchanted i brought galsses from cheepers and they had them hollagraphic eyes in them, they looked awsum...i didnt wear them much but my friend wore them the whole time. i have a photo of he and him wearing them, i will have to scan it and put it in my profile sometime

Some years ago i was in a higher state of consciousness after a typical weekend at DJ Riot's house (aka frank or graham to his friends ) and i was running rampart thru the house when i came rolling out the front door and did a commando roll into my best strong man impersenation. To the on look of Jamie (mutley) and Carrie who were sitting out the front who yelled "your lookin mighty Buff there buff. So it came to be my name was buffbuff but i shortened it and changed the lettering bu ph as in ph Phat. Also know as buphles (a cuddle from buph is called a buphle (ask Phunkii about that one). So there it is my unique and proud name that attracts a fair bit of snickering when called.

Asianfunkphenomena is the username I made after one of my favourite house tracks. Armand Van Helden's - The Funk Phenomenon. Mine ends with an "A" because Yahoo in its early years wouldnt allow more than 18 characters to be used as an email adress.

Information on my name is everywhere... and I follow of welsh mythology etc.. but the Name Taliesin itself was dubbed to be about 12 years ago, i've just continued using it.

IceaTronic, im not sure how i came up with it, i used to use IcE quite a bit and was getting sick of everyone else using it so i had to think of something different.

Probably one of those incredibly drunk nights watching robocop or something and im like ohh, robots, i can be an ice robot and it kinda went from there :|

Doubt you're interested seeing as I just know people here and don't actually attend events, but it doesn't mean anything, least of all "teen rage" as lots of people like to allude to.
I have no idea what it could mean, but once some friends used to complain that I used my real nicknames as aliases online and said make something up; shamefully did what peers suggested, I'm just that weak

Mine is fairly boring...

9 years ago I was getting sick of my previous nickname which was Snow (From the hip hop artist) and I was listening to Wu Tang Forever (Which I had bought when it was released and listened to on loop for it was the only CD I really liked) and I while I was listening to track 'Projects' I heard Sector and thought that would be a good name.

I threw on X4 to make it sound a bit better and at the time I had realised the nickname 'Sector' was getting camped by bots on IRC.
