who played there? The name Collosus sounds familiar, and I lived around the corner from the Ent. Centre then....maybe I went, but 94-96 were a real blur at times for me

Flip live, Paul Holden, DMC did the light and sound....

The rest was a bunch of local DJs...

I have the flyer at my parents house so i will get it next time im up there.

yes, I do remember that night...Paul Holden was not such a household name then, but friends from Sydney had raved to me about him...and the Entertainment Centre was such a cool place to stage the whole thing....wish they still had more raves there...

Evne to this day it sits at the top of my list as one of the best parties i have ever been to... that and UW4

i still got 2 or 3 flyers... those a3 ones. some of my most precious in my collection.

i went to colossus 2 in syd in 97. it was at eastern creek. yuck!

we had colossus 2 here as well at heaven... it was poo....

I still have 2 or the A3 flyers too... Many fine memories!

What an awesome night! As if u still have the ticket from it!? UW4 is one of my best nights also! I remember sitting down on the chairs they had towards the back of the enty centre for Colossus kinda 'in-front' of where they were selling drinks & hearing 'Fuck martinez' start up & a swarm of ppl went pelting back onto the dancefloor! was like a wave=U N R E A L!! ahh good ol Daffy Ducks

Collosus would have to be one of the biggest hyped parties back then. the huge 7W argon laser, the 100kW sound system. The speaker stack were and still are the biggest i can recall ever seeing. It was f***ing loud. It was a huge night. Spent most of it running around all over the place. Chatting to Paul Holden out the back when i was off tap was a big laugh! As commented, ah those daffy's!
The music was fantastic from the word go. i think Nigel had one of the first sets and was playing pumping house but there are two tracks from Angu$' that certainly stick in my head: 'So' from TT1 and 'Please make love to me' by 3 steps ahead. I was going hard when the latter was played and thought it was saying DJ f**ked me!!

Certainly the highlight gig of my career. Just wish I could get hold of the Video again as mine got nicked at a houseparty!!!!!!!

ok, now im with ya! i know there use to be a video from Colossus Sydney with the sound track a set from PeeWee Ferris. Had some cranking tunes on it. I should have copied that when i had a chance. Who knows where that would be now.

Yeah, that would have to be one of my personal fav's too. i'd have to look back at some of the flyers to remind me of all the events i've been to. There are just too many to think of.

You're not the only one! He tried that with me too, but didn't get too far!!! Funny that i ended up getting hitched to our phone girl!!! Its funny where things start out. Tony use to try hard for everyone else but never himself. He was always very private about that.

As Jase said chuppa chups, chewing gum etc etc. I didn't make it home until about 1pm the next day after colossus. I was going for hours and hours. I thought it would never end.

I remember ending up back at Karl Badman's house for a recovery. God know what time i got home. I rember his place in town having tiny little doorways, and Karl being as lanky as he is moving through those doorways was as funny as hell!

Now that i can imagine. He'd look like a rubberman stretching his limbs to go through each doorway! Poor Karl. great to see him out at the last anthems

i swear the door way heights at that place were 5 ft, maybe 5.5ft

I remeber many a trip to Karl's place havin a spin in the back room there. WOW Chris!!! Gee last time I saw you was at the Public Domain gig in Adelaide about 3 years ago wasn't it?
BTW I think Paul Hodder still has copies of the Colossus gig in Adelaide!!!!!!

haha, no i dont think it accepts the mp3 file as a supported file format for hosting. The idea of zipping it is not to reduce the size of the file, the size doesnt matter (or so the girls say) its the supported file format we are after. That being .zip

I was too new to the scene back then to get such lavish momentoes! But i have boxes of the shit now!

Im afraid.....I get accused of not attending events much anymore. here in Sydney with Trance Tribe, I find it hard between juggling the job, family & producing. The Net is so convenient because it keeps you well informed and in touch, but nothing beats a good gig. I loved Ferry Corsten late last year, Fergie played the same gig and he was ....amazing!!!! Not the music Id rave about but what he did with it was...exceptional. And you can't get that on the net but hey.......you can't have your cake n eat it too!

nah it was quite good , but I was very dissapointed with the lighting which was advertised as the best ever !

but I am sorry .........putting ALL the lights into one big triangle really was a let down

well it was good for me. but my perception was a trifle altered that evening...

the hall there is huge ! and the lighting was crammed into one end , while the rest of the rave suffered little lighting
