As a beginner raver ( ) who is into happy hardcore, I wanna know some beats that I can groove to. So tell me your fav, and then I can get rolling!!

a classic old tune from the mid 90's I think....always makes me smile!!!!!

I cant remember the name of the song, it's from the 90's and it's been turned into a Happy Hardcore track, i'll give you the lyrics...

Personally, i reckon the best happy hard tune created is Abba-Gabba by Riot Nation. It's on Mokum 36. A couple of great tunes to check out aswell that actually ARE by Charlie Lownoise and Mental Theo are Wonderful Days and Stars.

But, seriously spare yourself the cheesiness of happy hardcore and just go yourself some real hardcore. In your old school, check out artists like Paul Elstak, Charlie Lownoise & Mental Theo, 3 Steps Ahead, Chosen Few, Rob Gee, Bass D & King Matthew, Scott Brown, Lenny Dee, Ruffneck, Predator, Human Resource, Cybernators, Marc Arcardipane, Buzz Fuzz, The Prophet, Dano, Gizmo (oops..listed off the whole Dreamteam in sequence)... i could go on forever!

With new school style hardcore, check out artists like Dione, Outblast, Catscan, The Viper, Dr Z.Vago, Endymion, Evil Activites, Menace II Society, Angerfist, Re-Style, D-Spirit, Paul Elstak, Ophidian, Raving Nightmare, Promo...likewise i could go on forever!!

If you like happy hardcore i recommend you buy Hardcore Heaven. Its a 3cd Set and it is worth every penny. The first cd is mixed by DJ Sy (he was voted best hardcore DJ in the last hardcore awards) and that is all happy hardcore stuffs. Second cd is mixed by DJ Brisk (He was at winter enchanted ) and that is mainly happy hard. Then the 3rd cd is mixed by Kevin Energy (he's definately one of the pioneers of the uk hard scene) and that is mainly UK Hard/Freeform...which is totally wicked. There is also Hardcore Heaven 2 out now...same kinda stuff...its all good

I'd have to say one of my fav. happy hard songs is "In Your Life" by Brisk & Ham

But i'd have to agree with Equinox, i much prefer good ol' propper hardcore over cheesecore these days.

I agree with MagicMark, Equinox & Buph that tru hardcore is still the best! No cheesy stuff, no bullshit, no nonsence shake ur ass kickin hard tunes! Nothing beats Rotterdam Records, Ruffneck, Industrial Strength, Terror Trax, BRRR, Forze, K.N.O.R., Rave Records, Ruffbeats, Vinyl Momentum, DWARF, Baby Boom & all the respective artists that have contributed to those labels. They all hold classic quality tunes that are timeless! I put on Lenny Dee vs DJ Paul "Round One" the other day & not only did i jump around like a looney it still kicks harder than some of today tunes! Hmmmm...I know what i'm going to do tomorrow

Bury You - Speedfreak(Mokum 104) This tracks has nearly the entire lyrical compontent of Sure Shot by Beastie Boys overlaying hardcore.

EXLXAXL - Dt6(Unexist & Ether) Remix(Industrial Strength Limited). This track has got one of the hardest baselines you will ever hear, anyone that saw Lenny Dee work his magic recently knows what i'm talking about!! Has the classic Enya sample used in Kold Dayz by Chosen Few in the bridge.

Psychiatric Ass - Nosferatu & Ophidian(K7 Ltd 10" Enzyme Records). In my opinion this is one of the greatest new school tunes ever created, and it will be for a very long time. Uses a sample of Samuel L. Jackson from the movie Unbreakable, with very eerie industrial synths. You think you've reached the full bassline, then a massive bass kick booms in to take control. A very, very powerful track! Good luck finding the 10" tho!!

First one you're after is call Asylum by the Scotchman on Dwarf records and the second is exactly that but off the top of my head i can't remember who put that out but again its on Dwarf records.
