Quite a good review of DJ Kontrol in Saturday's Advertiser (7th January) in the 'Adelaide Confidential' section. Shame there was no mention of him playing at Venus.

Did anyone else read about him?
PaulHamon

No.. can you copy and paste the story here from the advertiser website???

IT SEEMS one of Adelaide's hottest properties in DJing has a split personality. All you house music diehards will know him as DJ Kontrol. However, trance fans probably recognise this guy better (as his mum does) as John Morley. Whichever way you play...

thats all i can get, can't find the full story.

ROFL... trance fans! Johnno has always been a dutch house bop bop boy hahaha

Although constant drilling about the trance side of things looked like it was working when he one day admitted that it wasn't too bad laugh.gif

Wasn't on the site... I'll type it.

'It seems one of Adelaide's hottest properties in DJing has a split personality. All you house music diehards will know him as DJ Kontrol. However, trance fans probably recognise this guy better (as his mum does) as John Morley. Whichever way you play it, this boy is one to watch out for. His single Shouting Out is sitting at number 4 following two weeks on top of the Fresh FM chart, and it has also been added to Nova's current playlist. And that is only in Adelaide. John actually receives most of his "love" abroad. Often flitting back and forth to Germany to produce with mate Ollie Goedicke (one half of the legendary Warp Brothers), his celebrity status has been skyrocketing in Europe of late. "The first two tracks have been going incredibly well," he says. "It has been really exciting." And that's no lie. The Adelaide DJ has found himself featured on some of Europe's most popular compilation albums; those which star the likes of dance music sensations Eric Prydz, DJ Sammy and Armand Van Helden. With his new website - djkontrol.com - racking up a huge number of hits every week and plans underway for another huge trip to Hamburg in March, you will definately be hearing a lot more from this guy in the coming year.'

It's probably a stab from an old 70's - 80's track. Nice one John. Love the track, great positive article too.
