Shapel Corby

Ok people what do you think about this Shapel Corby shit thats is happening? I think there are to many black spots to see her being guilty. Seriously wheres the security video votage? and why the hell would she smuggle that kind of weed into Bali where ist worth bugger all there, when she could selll it in Australia for 10 times more the amount?? If shes guilty well so be it but im thinking she isnt and i hope for her sake that things turn out ok. But it is a bit of a worry travelling over seas. You would wana get a stat dec signed before leaving saying that you lugauge is fine

I believe she's not guilty. But it's not up to us to decide that; it's the judicial system over there that decides it based upon evidence and crap. I think she is innocent. She wouldn't be stupid enough to smuggle drugs to another country - especially an Asian country - where they can give you a life sentence just for a small bag of weed. Plus we have the best security checks in our airports, so I'd hardly believe that anything like that would go un-noticed. It would definitely be sabotage or somebody planted it there. And like you said, the going rate for a pound is a lot compared to the some place like that. Just think, one person's mess results in another person's death. It's pretty fucked-up right there.

I haven't been following this case closely, but you can't really avoid knowing SOMETHING about it, can you??? From what I've seen, Shappelle is the innocent victim of someone else's stuff-up.

Why would an imprisoned man in Victoria, who doesn't know Shappelle and has nothing to gain from his actions, insist that the Australian government fly him to her court case to give evidence about an Australian drug-smuggling ring that he believes owns the dope?

Unfortunately, the Indonesian legal system doesn't take into account evidence such as this, or her good character - the dope was found in her possession, therefore it's hers, end of story, goodnight.

It's also interesting to note that Australian police are investigating death threats made against the Indonesian consulate staff here in Australia, unless Shappelle is released.....there are obviously many people who believe in her innocence.

I truly hope for her sake that someone can make the judges on her case see some sense.
