Trance anthems Anzac Day Eve Monday April 24

After the success of Old School vs New School at anthems: On a Harder Tip, we just had to give it a trance flavour this time. Classic tracks from the likes of PUSH, Nalin & Kane, Blank & Jones, and System F, meet the freshest in uplifting, dark and melodic trance.

Spread over two rooms at Tonic, doors open at 9pm with DJs Davin, Slide, Mr S, Josh, Solace, Cheeky B, ATB, Cetra, Submission and Dr Damage battling it out. Limited presold tickets are $20 plus fees from Venue*tix and online here... more on the door.

yay yay yay

Oh yeah!!! Trance addicts of anthems unite!!! Sounds like a plan babe - will sort something out closer to the day, which I'm sure will sneak up on us faster than ever..... Only a 25 minute walk home from Tonic to mine now, much better than bloody West Lakes!!

yes... and not so far to go to a recovery party as i never did make it up the shores... too far to drive in a slightly dubious state

and yes.. the time shall fly.. this month is so packed already! i think there is somthing planned for every weekend.. and a few week nights aswell!

*Gaaaassps*

OH MY GOD! THE GABBIE WILL RETURN!

Hellz yes.

G.

I just thought I would reinforce the fact that this is going to be a "scorcha", "wicked", "sick", "stompa", "mad", "infectious", "apocalyptic", "virus spreading fang monkey biting dance dance revolution" night!!!!!

i shall be there as long as my easter goes according to plan. *crosses fingers*

Might just go straight from there to the war memorial (getting changed along the way of course)

bout 5am or 6am i believe fulcrum

no gettting into uniforms while around us all otherwise they will not be on for long cos tash might take them off or me or well all of us

mmmmmmm - uniforms

yay another one for my list of chicks with things for men in uniform

And wearing them myself - nurses, waitresses, maids, GI Jane etc

lol, well mine is staying in my car til. if u wanna see me in it, come to the march

i will be there with hopefully a little more than bells on

actually i have found the perfect thing but i think it is a little to revealing for such an important event

Attached image(s)

bwahahaha

ok, i think we better get back onto topic now otherwise tash will beat me and call me a flirt.

MWAH TO MY LETTERBOX

Hey Paul - Any chance of getting a big poster I can put up at work for some extra promotion?

G.

One of the better promotion tools is the smiley face stickers G. I should have a roll for Trance anthems.

all my smiley rolls got pilfered

uh no questions. I will be there. need to get my ticket tho.

Well i hope yall have fun.... some rather bad timing will keep me from this event and any venus visits for some time...
WHY HAS THOU SMITED ME OH FUN SMITING LORD????
hope yall have fun though guys plenty of pic for me to see too

I'm not sticking them all over my work, do you have any idea how hard it is to scratch those damn things off???

I meant something along the lines of a poster...

Um... I only took 5 but I didn't TAKE them I asked ever-so-politely

G.

Have you tried eucaluptus oil? works wonders for sticky situations

yup i know ya did hun n i gave em to you.

unlike others that have taken off with rolls before.

I didn't mean for work... I meant for "general" promoting

That's not the point! I don't want to / won't be allowed to stick them around my work.

Well I mean for work... Cuz Cetra works same place as me

G.

Is the tuesday after this a public holiday........?

the 25th is anzac day and a public holiday.

ill be glad when this public holiday season is overrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

not allowed to sign my work contract until after all this nonsence

thats not fair they just don't want to pay you for 'em - bastards! i love my paid public hols and wish everyone else could enjoy them too
to paraphrase Homer: "if you don't like your job you don't strike, you just go in everyday and do it really half assed ..."

ill be working thurs, friday sat monday this week. and next week the monday tuesday aswell.

tryingt o get tuesday off for recovery. tho " no employee can be forced to work public holidays if they have a sufficient reason" so i might go watch my grand father march.. hmm.. shame he will be participating in another part of the state. i wonder if poppa is marching... might ask the olds tonight...

he's in adelaide in spirit del, in spirt!

Cheers 4 that!

Nessa, PaulHamon will always tend to make a rave on a Friday/Saturday night/night before a public holiday in favour of most people .

foonJ read the animosity thread.. and u shall see i prob shouldnt take any chances right now id love to attend.. but i think chances are of me using that as a reason wont quite work.. i might ring around a few other workers see if they will cover my shift and have the time off that way...

my step fathers step father was in the war aswell, tho i harldy know much of it. just know he never speaks of it. i will enquire to wat regiment and corps he was. and if he is marching.

show pride for our diggers. they gave us the life we enjoy now...

shame half of em would be turning in their graves to know what is happening to the country 50 yrs lateer...

yeah, can u believe there is a bunch of people protesting against anzac day this year!! they will be wearing orange arm bands...disgracefull.

but thats understandable del, need ya job to live.

flippin ignorant dogs!

way to make a stand when your completely ignorant

I spit in their faces

not that I support war ...............but take your shit and the big chip on your shoulder elsewhere

oops off topic-slap!

Whaaaaaaaat???? Are you serious????? That's a disgusting show of disrespect Anzac Day is not a celebration of war, it's a day of remembrance for those who fell so we could have this wonderful and "free" (although I'm beginning to question that lately) country of ours to live in peacefully. Off-topic again, sorry.....

its ok RP.. alot of us are questioning the way our 'leader' is taking us DOWN hill, with drawing our basic rights and really disrespecting the memories of those who fought to give us the freedoms he is taking away.

let us trance.. in memory...

bares thinking about.... hmm camo gear.. everyone.. in cammo gear.. ???

( just to bring it back on topic)

yeah, i got a special something to wear at trance while i'm there

You tease!

Got my tickets to anthems in the post last night - all excited now!!

haha, its nothing revealing!

Doesn't have to be

Wheeeeeee
Well excited

Great to see anthems droppin the Trance. Sorry I can't be there for a set or to party, but duty calls in Melbourne that weekend. Hope you all have a great one. If it happens again, I will certainly be putting it in my Diary!!!

Doesn't look like i'll be going. I lost my ID and doubt I'll get another one in time.

you cna use another form of id... have you got a valid or a fairly recent Passport?? you can use that...

Nah, never been out of the country. Im gonna go to the rego office on tuesday but there is a very slim chance I'll get my new licence sent out in time.

come to trance anthems matey...no excuses The rego dept should give you a form of interim ID that you can get by with in the meantime...

Yeah u get a temporary licence but it hasnt got a photo on it. I think I'll just rock up and leg it through the door and into the crowd. Hehe.

if you really wanna come maybe ask PaulHamon if he can help you out in any way

Im might see if a proof of age card will get there quicker. But failing that I might have to pm PaulHamon c if he can help me out. Only thing is its just his event, not his club. I missed last anthems and really want to go to this one.

well, we hope to see you there then....

Umm... Dude... It's at Tonic I wouldn't be worrying if I were you.

*gigglz*

G.

(altho having never been to an anthems event (except one point one) I don't know if it'll be run differently...)

i've got my ticket, cheers rob, and will be there with my bells on - not a typo - or with the belle of the ball, one of the 2.

DeL, just say to your boss what i said to mine one day... "boss, there is a show on monday that i would sell my first born son to go and see so i prolly won't be in the best condition on tuesday to work as i think i'll still be over .05". he laughed heartily and gave me the day off

Pleasure, didn't want you missing out

my boss used to go to the original anthems shows.. he knows i prob wont be even close to .05

and woudl still be awake at time i shoudl be at work...

ROFL... Best idea ever! If I had a car / my P's I'd do this for sure, haha! I can never decide what to wear because I have a limited wardobe thanks to some sudden weight loss and I ALWAYS choose the wrong thing and end up too hot / cold / uncomfortable on the dance floor >_<

G.

If I can convince my friend to go, Im coming!

I'll just dip in to my rent $$$.............

Just tell your friend that Cetra and Slide are playing, and that they are both Smokin Hottie DJs

G.

plus i'm going to be there so ya can't miss that!

all jokes, i'm just eager to catch up with everyone as it's been too long - over a week - since i saw most of them, just jokin again, it's been atleast 2 weeks...

may be a little late depending on what my other mates are doing earlier but i shall be there...

cool.... should be a fun night

OH YEAH! Sitting here counting down the minutes! w00t. bring it on!

Wearing the Phatties tonight... i wasnt going to... but then I looked at them... and they looked at me... with those puppy eyes... and I just couldn't say no...

ummm, yeah... thanks for your help ana... not sure what I would've done without ya!!

haha, just joking hun... I've just been tearing thru my wardrobe looking for a suitable top to wear... I've narrowed it down to one of 3... I think I'll go with the "oldschool" one

I WILL SEE YOU ALL TONIGHT I WILL BE FRONT AND CENTRE (but slightly to the left) FOR MOST OF THE SETS!

aw yeah, rock on, don't be afraid to come say hi, I don't bite despite what you may have heard

G.

ill see you all there as well, cant wait!!! WOOOOTTTTTT

I'll be there toooo! Up front and left of the centre with G too! This'll be my first anthems outing, or outing anywhere really for a while so I'm rather excited! Oh, and I just got a job too, so celebration time!!1

I mite make an appearance.

Keep an eye out for the coolest guy on the dancefloor.

what...that doesn't sound at all offensive in any way firestarter Thats not like you....better not just say 'oldskool' or I'll be bitterly disappointed

haven't seen you in ages matey....will be good to see you again...front and centre is where all the cool people dance, so I'll see you there

Yeah i havent been on here for a while pr at an anthems event.

one last thing RUN A MUCK!!!!!!!!!!!

3 messages and my friend and she hasnt replied.........

So Im definetly missing this tonight

Have a ball my fellow anthemites!!!!

And I want all the goss & photos tomorrow!

well, that was a stomper of a night...well done to all who helped organise that one...definitely a capacity event, with many smiling faces and great music

Cetra and Slide, the two hottest DJs there...you guys rocked...thank you

yay, Trance anthems.....please sir, can we have some more

congratulations PaulHamon for the successful night!

Was an awsome night all round!! i couldnt decided which room to stay in, they were both packed to the max!!

photos should be up by the end of the week nessa

well done every one for last nite, damn what a great nite!!!!!!!

i counldnt deside which room to go in, the music was great in both room!!!!!!!!

whens the next one??? lol

Had a good night

Mwahs to everyone I saw

Im not a cop

Absolute mayhem! I loved it! Big thankyou to Paul and the team for making it happen, and making it awesome.

I dont think Tonic has ever been that cramped!

and the toilets can attest to that fact

few hints... how bout putting a door on the toilet stall??

cleaning them occasionally...

making sure there is sufficient toilet paper to cover the nights procedings..

part from that one nad only whinge...

it was a FANTASTIC night!!!

awesome tunes and great people

once again anthems have proven they are the best

cant wait for a second trance event

t'was a cruisey night, definately a capacity event.

funny you should mention the tiolets DeL cos just before i left i saw a guy head in to the gents with someone's dinner sprayed all over the back of his nice red shirt, i know that's sick and i didin't laugh at the time - dude was twice my size - but looking back

one gripe about the night is that the front room needed more speakers!! when Josh and the guy before her were playing it wasn't loud enough!!! they were all wikid sets but i wanted MORE!!!!

cyas round

pb

*edit - was definately great to hear some of the oldschool diamonds come out

thats coz someone tore the dore off

Tarantula. i was in there before the doors opened. that stall did not have a door on it even before the start of the night.

the excuse " some one tore it off' doesnt cut the mustard when a club is holding a big event that they know will pack the numbers in past their usual capacity.

and when did " some one tear it off" surely a bit of basic maintance can stick a stall door back on before a big event? instead of cutting 50% of their stall capacity outta the equation.
the only reason i make mention of this is i had a stomache bug all day, so it was a direct effect on me

tho walking down to Jimmy Roes to use their toilets, then walking back up to Tonic, Waiting in line again, seemed to be rather achiveable to a few of us

i enjoyed all things apart from those minor inconviniences,

Top night, top night!!! Ya gotta love having trance in every room. More! More! Top set by Josh, love ya work! Subbo's set was also rocking! Nice one bruvva!!!

was great meetin ya moo

no no u missunderstood me someone tore it off ages ago i go to tonic most weeks that hasnt had a door 4 a good 4 months i know they should fix it
Fresh bday funkshops bday still no door and they where packed as well

Wasnt a bad night.
Music was pretty good.
A few too many pretty boy surfer bleeched hair clapping fags but they were having a good time so...
Swinged past the casino on the way home and won $100 so that paid for my night.

Well done anthems crew.
