It's about $65 but table sell out within 2-3 days usually.. with 10-12 people on a table!

You really need to be total organised and have your ear to the ground.

it's always awesome night

tangent23r18 May 2005, 10:46am

i always felt like boycotting this event cause i felt like they never gave credit where it was due [ie core]

, but maybe i just missed it..

*** IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THOSE ATTENDING AND ANYONE ELSE WHO WISHES TO ATTEND ***

As everyone knows, there's been a considerable amount of discussion and hype regarding the SA Dance Music Awards. At the awards, we try and provide the best service in the most comfortable surroundings, such that everyone can have a great time.

It appears that demand has exceeded our expectations, even trying to accommodate everyone in the industry has proven difficult.
As such, we have decided to move the event to the "Parks Convention Centre AAMI Stadium" (Turner Drive West Lakes), to ensure all those in the industry that want to come are able to come.

The venue has a cpacity of 650 people, and as such, it looks as though it will be a huge event. As a result of change of venue, we are able to make available an extra 50 tickets for those that have missed out and wish to attend.

Tickets are $70.00 which includes a 3 course meal, a 5 hour drink package, entertainment, and award presentation. For those that want these tickets, please contact Tony at 618 Records on 82119933 by 2pm tomorrow, as this is the deadline to provide caterers final numbers of people attending.

Thanks for your support and see you Monday night!

i don't actually remember, i think they started just after [don't remember laying out any ads]..

don't mind me, just a bitter old clubber

..

seriously though, it seemed like on one hand we got attacked for not being underground enough, and on the other for not being commercial enough, from differering ends of the spectrum.. then with the SADMAS everybody got congratulory and patting themselves on the back for what a wonderful healthy scene we had, when we'd been working our asses off for 1 and half years for little monetary benefit..

but i'm kinda over all that...so...paul you got a table this year?

tammyr19 May 2005, 10:24pm

would love to b able to grab one of those last 50 tix, but its prob too late to organise mon nite off work...

wish i had some sickies left

o'well, i'll have to wait til next year

kandiir24 May 2005, 1:44pm

It all happened on the table directly behind me, the table that was thrown pretty much went straight over my head.

No one was hurt that I know of, but a lot of people are very shaken up, myself included.

We were all having a really good night, and someone F**ked it up for us.

AND I DIDN'T GET MY CHOCOLATE MUD CAKE!!!!!!
