I though the room was ok... I liked the upstairs area!
It was a bit of a trip back down memory lane, go Downtown.

Went for a visit last night and was very impressed. A lot of thought has gone into the venue giving it a lot of potential. great sound, pleasing lighting but needs a lot of people to make the club feel busy. very spacious. upstairs bar could get a little warm with a large crowd.
overall, nice feel....maybe an anthems there sometime soon?!?!

Upstairs feels alot more ravey than downstairs which feels pretty cramped, upstairs generally has better sound as well.

Never being there i will have to get off my ass and venture down there and have a looksy

I been there every week bar 1, i think its a top venue. I wouldnt say downstairs is cramped at all! obviously havent been on a generic night? theres ample room.

on generic night usually hits peak around 1am/2am. With lots of hard beats as the regulars are Banshee, Mr S and Oddessy. As the place is so big often looks empty even if theres a decent turnout.

and i been right there next to ya...love it there, and I agree on generic nights...there is more than enough room to let loose. Even at Freeformation 2 it was roomy enough.

I've only been there once, for Unity, and I think its a decent venue, however I wasn't impressed with the secutrity guard stopping you and taking your water away from you before you went to the loo...
I appreciate the fact that they want to sell water at the bar to iincrease profits etc, but at the end of the day, we are ravers, and if we need water and have run out of money, then tap water is the only option. (yeah I know, I'm a cheap skate...)
My biggest concern is that on nights when it is packed and really hot inside, people that have over done it, whether it be dancing or on party supplies... that they will suffer from heat exhaustion. I think tap water should be free everywhere, bars, clubs, pubs... everywhere.

But apart from that, I like the venue. There was some big traffic flow problems as the only waklway in and out it where all the lounges are, and one of the bars downstairs is on the far side of the dancefloor... but, a new venue is always exciting for the first few months, and it definately the biggest "rave" venue we have in the city, so fingers crossed it'll do well and we can make it home

Unity definitely wasnt one of the better nights ive had at earth...esp cos everyone I came with went outside to meet another mate...and ended up stuck out there for a few hours! So I just stayed upstairs and danced away...it was impossible to find anyone else I mite know...so many people hehe! I loved Proteus though...went off for his whole set.

I've only been to Earth for Unity and thought it was a great set up. Upstairs was the best atmosphere with plenty of room to move but as dyl8td said, it sucked when people went outside and couldn't get back in and it sucked that you had to line up to go upstairs for Proteous!
All in all though enjoyed the night and can't believe they turned the old Downtown into such a cool club!! Who would've thought!!!

Upstairs has only been open for Unity I believe...it was great up there though...what a confusing night. Decepticon kept tellin me that he couldnt get upstairs cos of lineups...and i was up there tellin him...wtf man! Theres stuff all people up here!! What a messy night...

if you ask me there was way too many ppl up there to began with, then someone decided that it was way too dangerous and had to be some sort of control up there, so got ppl out without letting others up until it got to a safe controlable level.

the psy trance night was good the place was decked out and looked crazy

hear hear on the water - DODGY!!!! tis a basic human right that should be available wherever you go, whatever you're doing

I have been to two event there and had a fantastic time!!! Also popped my head in for last weeks generic Friday night.... banging tunes from H-Bomb

i went to earth for both freeformation & shyfx, and had an awesome time

unfortunately i had 2 miss unity

hav yet to make it there 4 a generic nite, but im sure the place would rock...

i'll definately find out for myself in the not too distant future...

Yeah i have been here most nites, its a good venue. I love the music and there is always so many people i bump into that i know.

Someone must have it in for Earth lol....luckily they didnt stop Hellraiser from playing at all...that would have been a disaster...

Must go check it out. I havent been there since Downtown days: Rollerdisco. Now Im showing my age.
