Old Games From The Old Consoles

i dont think there is already a thread like this...

so this is my story right....i used to have a Nintendo NES as a little kid....but then it died or something and we got a playstation.
but, we got a 'special' xbox the other day and in the emluator (sp?) it has a NES setting.....with MARIO
...its got mario bros, mario 2, mario 3, mario lost levels, mario world or soemthing and a few more marios....its soooo cool

its got the games i used to play as a child plus more.....mario 3 being my all time favorite!!....but dav dont like playing it with me.....he seems to think that 'cosmic avenger' or something like that, is better..


so spill it, what were the games you loved to play on your old game consoles?


personally i always loved mario!! and that duck hunt game
and all the '15 in 1' games things were great

Mario is always a classic, I used to like Theme Park on Super Nes and WWF Royal Rumble!

I loved Zelda Ocarina of time and Majoras mask. Seriously, those 2 games meant SOOOO much to me as a kid. Really loved them, with all my heart. Even now I go back and re-play them at least 2 or three times a year. :wub:

Also, Goldeneye, anyone that didnt like that game should go live on another planet :P. And My Mario 64, 100% finished it all on my very own at the ripe old age of 11. Oh yeah :P.

On NES I loved Kirby and a Bunch of games me and my friend used to play when I loved i the US. We were GLUED to the TV back them. Good times. Fond memmories.

SNES, Too many to name, and too many that I dont remember the names of. Naturally all the donkey kong games.

LOL this is bringing back memories. I wanna buy all the precious (I meant OLD not PRECIOUS, but its a wicked Freudian slip, so I'm leaving it there) colsoles and start collecting the games again. That would be awesome.

i used to have a nes and a super nes... cant remember all the games i had but yeah

used to spend HEAPS of time at Magic Mountain :P uncle was floor manager :D
one of my Favs there was Rampage and Space Harrier those games were where its at :)

My real 1st love was the NES. I would spend so many bloody hours in front of it playing Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Gradius and Sexy parodius. Remember the big boss that was a lady dancing the can-can.....that game was so rude :)

I loved the old Super famicom aka Super Nintendo. I used to think I was the top shit when I got all the new jap games like Street Fighter 2.

Ahh yes, cant forget Mario Kart 64. I was UNBBEATABLE. Mastered ALL the shortcuts, including wario stadium infamous wall jump glitch, which was HARD! And the rainbow road massive half level leap at the start of the track. I pwn at mario kart 64! LOL

ONCE UPON A TIME! There lived a Gabbie. In 2004 this Gabbie (along with one Princess Peach) went to the Royal Adelaide Show DRESSED AS MARIO! And had a blast :) I must hunt down the costume for an old school anthems :) :) :) IN FACT I WILL! omg yes ^_^

has to be mario kart! there was nothing more satisfying than blowing your mates off the track with a red shell when they were leading. second favourite would have to be wipeout tho.

I loved that game. Also Chrono Trigger and Super Mario RPG, they're one of the main factors why I'm so into the whole RPG genre.



I did the opposite. I always used to wag school and spend HEAPS of time at Downtown where I always got free games from the manager.

I went to Marion on Monday and that Intencity sux ass. They didnt have any new games. No Mario Kart. NO Mario Kart at all. 2 only slightly good games they had were Initial D ver3 and Ghost Squad. Oh yeah...also crappy Fast and Furious. Not even a decent fighting game.

No Mario Kart? WTF? Shooter, GO BEAT SOME HEADS IN TIL THEY GET IT BACK! Maybe it's at Norwood... I'll check while I'm there.

We have Initial D 3 & Ghost Squad @ both Tunza's and our Ghost Squad isn't modded to total gh3yness like theirs.

Anthems ppl get a few free games if i'm working, btw :P

Ahhh... 'Toothless' was the name of the MM technician who kenw NOTHING about arcade machines... We would go down there and try to tell him how to fix Percussion Freaks (a simulated drumming game that i OWN AT for those who don't know...) but he would never listen and thus the snare was always broken!



We have a KOF but I'm not sure which one. I think 2005. I'll sms u when I get to work tonight.

i had a version that i found a while back but it had a timer on it..

you could only play it for 5 minutes and then it was over. ive been looking for it for ages but with no luck.

another game im after which was on the commodore 64 was impossible mission. not like the movie at all. was a side scrolling type game. you played as 'some guy' and you had to jump over robots and collect pieces of a puzzle which were located inside various pieces of furniture, and then you had to put the puzzle together. hours of entertainment and was a good brain workout also.
