The idea has been thrown back and forth between myself and a couple of other people for a while now, but never discussed at length. I want to have an anthems Karaoke night, where we can all have a few drinks and embarrass ourselves singing too loud and off key. SO! Does anybody know any good karaoke bars? Who likes the idea? Has it beeen done before?

i ended up at oen on hindley street friday night. ran by a guy called Chi, seemed like a top bloke! venue was kinda smallish. typical anthems turn out woudl pack the place

the Rex hotel also does them in the "sulleys bar" i think

always a bit of fun

OMG OMG OMG YES YES YES!!!!!!!! I used to be a karaoke QUEEN!

I have a few friends that run karaoke in several locations, and are also available for hire for private parties (where they bring all of the equipment and set it all up in your home/venue)

I'm up for it man. Gabbie mentio0ned you seemed keen on the idea so I thought I'd make a proper thing of it. Now we just gotta try and organise a date once enough people are interested.

I've ever only gone on a few occasions and seen the boss hit on a few guys. But generally the drinks are real cheap there. I dont sing and my voice is horrid.

Beginning of Sept is good. Saturday Sept of 2nd is better. My 29th is that day.

LOL... Finally!

Just give me a few weeks notice and I'm in.

The Somerset Hotel is 5 mins walk from my house but that also means its a fair way from town but we could karaoke then stumble back to my house and keep partying? Can clean the spa if I have enough notice.

Unless karaoke in town seems to be the most clever option.

Suggested dates and what Gabbie has to say about them

August 11/12 <- Evermore on Friday & HQ on Sat
August 25/26 <- Gabbie will be on stage both these nights.
September 8/9 <- last two nights of the Royal Adelaide Show (where Gabbie will be working)
September 22/23 TOTALLY FREE AT THIS POINT IN TIME!!!

HOKAI! I'm not putting up a "Indifferent" Choice because it seems people that are indifferent dont end up coming! SO VOTE!

The location will be decided on once we have a clearer indication of how many people are coming and when its happening. Please vote ASAP so we can have plenty of notice to prevent any "opps I forgot" or "I left my vocal chords at home, sorreh!"

The reason I chose weekends is because most people are working at uni during the week. I start work late most weekends so it doesnt bother me much.

BTW can a mod PLZ merge this with the other KARAOKE thread. I dont have THE POWER to d so

Won't it still be a bit cold for the spa? Still prefer to have it in or near the city. More centralized for other people that live in the southern suburbs. Just make it equally convenient for everyone.
