What Kind Of Raver Are You?

Hey, anthems has many diverse people involved in raving, so i thought i'd start up a thread to ask what you love particularly about raving, and what that makes you.
I'll get it started...
I love the music of course, but especially i love the vibe. heaps of different people coming together to enjoy the thing they love; and everyone a friendly and open person (well, for the most part anyway). Ravers are my favorite kind of people, so I guess i'm a raver's raver.

What kind of music do you like ike?

I like the music and the people that comes with the vibe. I'm generally a very shy person (and sometimes seem stand-offish) but when I'm in that environment or all hyped up it helps me open up a bit. I'm just 60% raver - not full-on with the candy but when I do go out, I'll have fun and make an ass of myself at times. Plus I love to dance if I can keep up with the music. So I'm an old but up for it type of raver

i would say I go for the people, Ravers and Clubbers in my opinion are two very different kinds of people and I love RAVERS!! Friendly people and a great atmoshphere..oh and flashy lights but im not a real hardcore raver....
so I would say Im a Funky/Mellow Raver- just go with the flow and grab alotta hugs, high 5's and handshakes on the way through!!

I love everything music, lights, outfits, people, getting drunk and doing stuff i wouldnt do elsewhere, glowsticks FTW!! good to do something like that after usual week of boring, hard study/work.

whatever's playing really... if it's got a beat and i can rock out to it, i'm cool...but mainly trance, breakbeat, dn'b and a bit o hardcore are my favourites

I'm there for the music.. as any REAL RAVER would be! But the reason i go is coz the atmosphere is just so friendly and relaxed.

I love meeting new people, i love being able to start a conversation with someone who isn't going to either give you a dirty look or automaticly try and sleaze on to you.

I'm an unraver, I suppose that's good in its own way somehow

I'm a normal raver... I go hard, i crank hard, i do all the things the stereotypical ravers do, minus party prescriptions and a little less glowy... I like it when others have it tho, and i love the fact i can sit and cuddle people, without any further intentions... just the sheer fact of human interaction and stuff i love... Then i go to my normal self and go out to pubs clubs n do the metro stuff... so i'm half half...

I am one of those people who has always been a raver and just didnt know it... yeah I know that sounds od but I was always dancing around, cuddly people who talks to everyone before I had even heard of raves.. even used to have that hand movement that a raver has, that kinda floaty thing that you do when listening to something you like.. :S or and I just wierd :S

clean as a whistle raver. music is my drug of choice. as long as there is good music i will dance. good people also help the vibe.

music has been a massive part of my life since i used to play the music at our primary school assemblies. got my first stereo at age 13 and never turned back. i go hard, and i do things my way. if you don't like how i look, look away, if you dont like how i dance, chances are you are crowding my space and random objects are flying into you, dont just stand there, either dance or please move back to the bar.

i believe that rave isnt somethig you just do, its something you live. a way of life, a way of seeing the world in an array of positives. i live my life as true to myself as i can be, and i express myself through many avenues, be it dance, or colour, or style.

no matter what is going on in the outside world, at a rave i feel safe and warm, like i was meant to be there. i am a very plurry person, and am extremely welcoming of newcomers and first timers.

one day i wish to contribute back to the scene in such a way that people for a long time to come get the oppurtunity to experience exactly what i have been lucky enough to have.

music of choice ranges according to my mood, from the deepest chillout to the hardest speedcore. there is music for every given situation and emotion. there is music everywhere in nature. everything has a rhythm, we just need to learn to listen and dance to it.

I was referred to as a jaded-raver...what the hell does that mean??

Im a raver whos there for the music, but i love the openess and individuality of people in this scene, it tends to atract people who have interseting lives as opposed to random clubkids. There is deffinately something that sets people who are ravers appart from just randoms who attend the occasional rave.

Its funny, im into alot of drum and bass, but the dnb comunity are generaly a bunch of angry, sketchy bastards, and so while i enjoy the music at dnb shows more, i would much prefer to hit up something like anthems where i can have an awsome night and not worry about bumping into someone and getting stabbed or whatever.

Saddly, im probably a steriotypical raver

I'm there for the music, the atmosphere, the people, the community and the fact that I wish real life communication with strangers and even friends was similar to the communication found at raves.

Everyone is there to have a good time, to socialise, crank and feel the music - everyone has a connection of some sort.

I'd say I've also become a stereotypical raver - but I'm a stereotypical raver 24/7 and God damn proud of it.

love the music and all the friendly people....over the past year i have met more great ppl than i have probably met my whole life. maybe because a lot of ravers have heaps in common... lots have stories and have lived if that makes sense!! most aren't the snobby snotty ppl that think they are better than everyone...the rave scene isn't about that!! everyone is an equal
I love to dance... one of my passions from way back, its so relaxing and also a good release and exercise of course!!
Love to get dressed up...gators, phatties, beads etc reliving my childhood to an extent...i think i'll always be a kid at heart and its fun that way.
I like a broad range of music from hard dance to hardcore to happy hardcore to trance... im not overly fond of dnb but some isn't too bad
I think the rave experience changes as you have been in it longer...i know it has evolved for me! at the start i just went a bit nuts but now its more bout the music and ppl and having fun!!

I just love the music I find that I can get going to most of the "Rave" stuff that's out there

Oh, and I love the dressing up

omg no shit, at bonkers there were these girls who belonged at HQ, crowding up the dancefloor just standing there smoking and shit, and had the nerve to push me back when I got too close! funny though cause they were wearing open toe shoes and i stepped on them by accident, thatll teach you the dancefloor is for dancing not 'being seen'

Lol I elbow those people.. or accidently kick them in the shin. Raves are NOT for open toed shoes.
I saw those chicks you were on about, the ones crowding your corner near the stairs? There were some where you were initially, when it all started when there was; me, sarah, dave, you and Benji, one next to me. I stepped on her.

i dont go out mcuh anymore but when i did i was a happy raver. hate clubby chicks at ravers, but only because they bring the plur down and are there to hook up. ewww hooking up at a rave is gross! Blegh!

Hmmmm I'm a jaded raver now, used to be all about the ppl and the vibe, and definitely the tunes, but unfortunately the ppl and the vibe eventually turn sour and then ruin your evenings and your mornings and eventually your weeks. So I'm a jaded raver can go hard like no other if the tunes are right and the atmosphere

Speaking of heels...I wore heels to Earth a little while ago...Had to wear them out that night, Earth was unplanned...Screw trying to rave in heels!! Are you kidding me?! Took them off and raved on the sticky, broken glass covered floor instead
