Peter Brock Dies

Just heard that racing legend Peter Brock has died whilst competing in Targa West today.

This is not good for Australia, Motorsport or Rallying.

(even if u did drive a holden )

so sad... we just got the official call (we've done allot of work through our office with him) that it is for real.

That's three great aussie icons, Colin Thiele, Steve Irwin and Brockie.

RIP Peter and condolances to his family.

He was such a lovely man whenever we had dealings with him...sad!

my thoughts are with his family and the racing community it is a tragic loss. he was a legend in his field and his loss will be felt

What a shocking and sad turn of events.

Someone mentioned that this is the third Aussie icon to die this week - these things do come in threes

RIP to a racing Legend... this death has hit me

THIS is someone who should have the attention he deserves

Rest in peace mate, you did australian motorsport proud.... only gripe i had is that you left this world driving a german automobile we all presumed it would be in a V8...

Respect to you!

Yeah it's pretty fraked, I met him about 10 years ago, got a signed HRT hat from him around here somewhere

What a tragedy to lose such a Motorsport icon, a legend both on and off the track.

He will always be remembered as King of the Mountain and his memories will live on in our hearts forever.

RIP BROCKY

What a shame. This sounds cliche, but at least he did die doing something he loved and did all his life. RIP

much respect to the man, he'll be though of for many years to come...

farout when i saw this thread im like nah you gotta be joking, he will be sadly missed

RIP

poor poor brockadile hunter!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was barely old enough to walk when my dad first took me to sandown to watch the touring cars... my dad (holding me in his arms) got a photo with Brocky that we still have to this day in one of our many albums...

R.I.P. PETER PERFECT!!

R.I.P Peter Brock......

He was the first person crazy enough to let me even steer a car I remember sitting on his lap when i was only little 'helping' him steer his car He was such a genuine man and people as caring as him are few & far between
So many fond memories- ill never forget our chats & your singing RIP Brocky

he will be missed , all this fuss about croc hunter and brock wat about the 44000 other ppl that died on thoses days no 1 cares ,sad really

RIP to the unofficial King of the Mountain

....not a good week to be an aussie celebrity it seems.....

True but how many of those 44000 promoted wildlife preservation or safe driving and made an impact on the country....its like if Jamie Oliver died...ok he;s just a chef and theres 1000s of them, but how many are actually out there doing things to improve our lifestyle....shame these guys died when they had so much more left in them

Oh damn I better watch out then!

RIp Peter

True- although hearing about anyone dying upsets me, mainly because of the people theyve left behind.
Steve Irwin was a little kooky to say the least but he helped alot with wildlife preservation & educating people.
Brocky- ok im not a fan of cars but he promoted safe driving & he also dressed as a clown to cheer me up when i was in hospital, he was just a fantastic guy- famous or not

I heard about this earlier. This is a sad day for petrol heads I tell ya

Cant believe it. This guy is a legend.....

RIP mate. you lived as a legend to many of us.. and now in death you shall be an aussie legend.

vote one

Brock Mountain!

he was crowned king ofthat thing 9 times... now its time to give him that respect...

make it his for the tenth and final time...

I second that del!!!

I was thinking about that the other day. So true!!!!!

Its a great loss for Australia, he touched sooooo many people as individuals, and is an icon to our whole country,
the legend still remains.

R.I.P Brockie

RIP

RIP mate, Sadly I never got to own one of your cars and now your gone the price of them is going to go through the roof!

Always in our hearts
