Just wondering if anybody is keen to do a road trip to Vic to attend Ultraworld Festival at Kryal Castle on Saturday Dec 2nd

That is the weekend before enchanted and could be a good warm up.

What u mean where to stay? They got Free Camping grounds there dude! Take a swag and ur set! even a tent, or if enuf of us go we can get a massive Mahki tent and all sleep in it!

I seem to remember having this convo just a few days ago... now that it's "officially" on, count me in!!! I can't think of a more unique outdoor rave venue than a medieval castle!! It's gonna be awesome!!

ok looks like i have been added... still no luck ont eh bus yet ben... we might be able to take the landcruiser.. that will take 7 people... but will eat soo much fuel...

Yeah i'm thinkin more along the lines of 2 taragos on gas... i think the cheapest i found with unlimited km/s is around 200 (if we get back before 10:15pm the day after... so if there's 2, thats 400, plus about 200 in petty?!? devided by 14 is about $45-50 each for the trip, not including food/tickets/supplies... not too bad i think... we could pull it off!! Everyone still in?

However, we are thinking about heading to Melb after the show for some shopping. So we may just hire a commie or something to do that with.. Then possibly get a cheap flight home. If anyone else is interested in the same let me know, as there should be spare seats..

I've just had a look at pirces, and i'm thinking the easiest way to get there is just by getting a group of cars together! that may be the cheapest way!!!

Car hire for those who don't have their own to drive will cost around $70 per day for a falcon or commodore which can seat 4 comfortably with unlimited km's.

Split that by 4 people over 3days leave friday return sunday is $53 each plus fuel. Probably cost not much for than $100 each at a guess.

i was thinking driving our own cars... then you don't have the cost of hire or the huge price of excess if it's crashed! hmmm

anyway, i guess we can discuss this later when we organise a time to get together! it's hard trying to put everyone's thoughts down on the thread.

I think any of us who are truly serious about going should meet up at some stage soon....the city is central and easy for me, but what about everyone else?

Maybe one night next week......few beers, and a countery to work out some details - eg: who is willing to drive their own cars/hire cars etc.....seating plans yadda yadda.....shopping in Melbourne plans (VERY IMPORTANT)

And I work in the city and Mettina just out of the city, so a city meeting place suits us also.. We both finish at 5pm so sometime just after that would be best otherwise later in the evening, giving us time to head home for shower and change of clothes..

Yep i'm free most nights but Tuesdays (those nights are important to me and if it can be helped i'd rather not be cancelling).

I think the city is a good idea to! Possibly on a Monday or Wednesday night when it's not going to be to busy in town we could go to a cafe for beer / nibbles / coffee.

any night is good... I finish work around 5:30 and uni around 5... so in the city after that is good... might need a lift home tho, but yeah, any good places in the city?
