I went to the astor last night & i hevent been there for years. I remember they used to have a couple of nights upstairs where they would play some groovy house tunes. does anyone else remember that

Does anyone remeber the Aqurium, that was a sik venue I saw a private show of Dr S Gaschet ( i think that is how you spell it) there and it was awesome.

I think I remember it. Was it the place that became the Currie Street Tavern? I remember going there very drunk one night and thinking how dark it was in there. That was before I was introduced to the dance scene.

Yeah it was on currie street not sure if its the same one was right next top the centrelink building down some stairs and there it was.

It's always been the Currie St Tavern, but has also been named "The Club" and "Aquarium" amongst others over the years

I think 'The Club' was what Thursday nights at the 'Currie Street Tavern' was called.

There was a sign out the front "The Club" for years. I remember going there on Sat night for some reason and it was refered to as The Club...not that my friends are anything to go by LOL

Can anyone remember anything more about KoKlub?

My goth friend and I used to go out Underage and see bands, then really late at night we found this place approximately where Engima bar is now, and you had to enter from the back alleyway and go downstairs... They played stuff like the prodigy's Voodoo people. This would have been about 93?

I'm I putting the right place to the right name?

It was a cool place, we weren't into 'Techno' back in those days, but we really enjoyed dancing there, the people were really friendly

what about Infinity (or was it called Absolute Infinity) at the West End of Hindley st - around 92-93

that was one of the first palces I went to and really 'saw' what was going on.....even through the massive clouds from the smoke machine...and just around the corner I stumbled onto Lerox and, as they say, the rest is history
