Wanted - Cat Sitter

One of my other cats that was living with my ex now needs a home temporarily, possibly longer. I've found a place for my girl but now this little boy needs somewhere. He's ginger, about 9 months old and gorgeous! Really don't want to see him end up in the animal shelter so if anyone can help out that would be fantastic

My mum has a heap of room and might be able to do something up there,
however its outdoors (she has a parrot) and its a big farm.

Yeah its not my cat... its Damians. He really wants to be able to keep him but where he's moving at the moment he cant have him as the dog will attack him. He did say to me that if the person who takes him gets attached they can keep him though otherwise he'll have him back.

He's not desexed, he is allowed outside and is litter trained

Oh and on the note that i give my animals up - i would never get rid of my cat!! Life circumstances sometimes change, it cant be helped. I've been responsible to find my girl a place until I can have her back. And i'm trying to make sure that my ex's cat doesnt go to a shelter too.

Id offer to have him here but i think itd be too risky with the roads & those feral cat haters that live nearby, maybe mum will take him & he can be a farm cat might take some convincing but ill let you know

thanks to everyone that might be able to help. My ex has moved now and has left the kitty outside he has got food n stuff and is apparently ok... but yeah I feel so mad that he could do that

I don't know what he's thinking... it just would have been nice of him to ask me like more than 1 day before he was moving. Then I could have found somewhere. Hopefully someone can help out

How will you find him if someone can look after him? If its come to that im sure i can convince Scott to let me have him here until i find him a proper home with someone who wont just leave him out on the streets

Still trying, but having trouble finding someone wholl take him undesexed. As horrid as it sounds its probably safer for him to go to a shelter. The one in Hahndorf wont put animals to sleep if they cant find homes for them- they keep looking until someone will take them. At least there hell have food, water, shelter & eventually a loving home
Still waiting for Scott to get home to ask him if we can look after him for a while but i dont like my chances coz scott wont have an inside cat & i dont like them being outside also trying to talk to my parents to see if they can have him for a bit or at elast until we can rehome him properly

has anyone asked Shadow or Bek or Gemini star if they could look after him for a while?

had my ex now tell me that he's going to take him to the pound if no1 can help. I've told him to at least find somewhere for tonight or something... he's making it my responsibility and it sux!!

You can still have an "inside" cat and train it to be used to the outside world.

Cats are naturally outside creatures.

I currently am looking after Hayleys cat, Meika, and I just took her for a walk both outside the front of my house, and out the back, once they know where they're meant to be, they'll be fine Which is why I'm supervising her out the front and out the back, so she knows to come back...

I don't feel as though Meika will run away. She may explore and all the rest of it, but once you teach them where their new home is then they'll be fine.

Sorry, but I just hate people that try and keep a cat inside, unless environment circumstances stop them from being outdoor kittys.

The main reason i dont want them outside is because of the native animals, cars & those retarded teenagers that live nearby who ive rescued a few cats from that theyve been attacking.
I used to vet nurse- i know the dangers of having cats outside in towns. my cats at the farm are outside but thats because its alot safer out there. sorry you dont agree with me but i guess i dont like the idea of seeing my cats squashed on the roads as its happened too many times before

Yer, I can see where you're coming from, and I do agree with you there...My first cat died due to a bird biting her tongue, she had to be put down...And my second cat got shot with a slug gun when we lived next door to an orchard, and then 6 months later got ran over by a car...

But my grandparents have 7 cats, and only 2 of them are allowed outside. It drives the others crazy. And you can tell that they so badly want to go outside, they always try to escape outside everytime you open a door.

So yer. Nature does suck. But I live in a small estate. So Meika will be pretty safe when she gets to know her surroundings, but for now she's just happy sitting on my lap and only coming outisde with me If she decides she wants to be outdoorsy then that's cool, if not, at least she knows that she can venture outside whenever she likes and vice versa

yeah sorry Hayley, I wasn't having a go at you because I know you are a cat lover all the way.....it just really makes my blood boil when people get animals then palm them off when it becomes inconvenient for them....stupid ex of yours grrrr grrrrrr.

I am just one of those people that gets animals for life, and they are like my children...basically if a place I wanted to move in to didn't allow my animals for whatever reason I would not be able to move in there.....simple as that.
