Rise has its days - its been dark, dirty and dodgy for like 5 years, but most people find that thats what you want at that time of day..
beautiful people?.... @ rise? theres SOME people that wouldave looked beautiful at the begining of the night, but at the end of the day, rise is recovery, and recovery is somewhere you go when ur sketchy, over it, tired, or goto keep cranking after a hard night...

in saying that, i prefer private recoveries, close friends, decks, juice and a whole lot of sketchy fun...

I've been a fan of the private recovery for years. Rise kinda lost it's vibe in about 2001 I think.

Biggest problem with private recoveries is noise complaints
I've got enough sound and lighting to run a small or medium sized club, but getting to use that gear is harder than you think.

Find a venue..that's a start

mmm i guess this isnt the first time this has come up i was just let down because i dont know were to go anymore and went to the place i use to go i think i was there a year ago and thought it was ok but sunday was shocking

all clubs that have a recovery style show on always tend to end up VEEEEEEEEEERY sketchy - it just goes with the territory.

Im a fan of private recoveries myself...with a bunch of sketchy mates...some beats and plenty of OJ...and comfy seats.

the best recovery parties i have been to were always down at grange, one street in from the beach, and there would normally be about 50 people there minimum. big ups to the grange massive, especially anj, the great greek god!

Hey there did someone say "The Ole Grange" how I miss my place that was just thrashed like that one was. My decks set up ,another room with a producer playing original tunes,city views from the back and beach views from the front.If the walls could talk!!

Private House Recoveries... all the way.

I like 'em coz you know everyone there, so your comfortable. There is nothing worse than coming down around unfamiliar people, causes massive, uneccessary paranoia.

At a private recovery you can lose your shit, cry, go to sleep, whatever, coz everyone knows you and knows what you are like, what you need, what you don't need etc etc...

Private recoveries rock........hehe brings bak some memories of Robert Ave.

Coming down at recovery was never a problem for me....I just delayed that til late sunday night when it was either a staff only type thing, or we had gone home by then

My only requirements.....a long hot shower, loads of water, juice, good friends (or new friends!), comfy spot to sit or curl up, music

winter recovery - gas heater, ugg boots, hot tea, Tiesto DVD & fleece blankets
summer recovery - a beach, big fluffy beach-towel, sunglasses

I absolutely love the home recovery. Decks are always a plus, but even just cranking the stereo, smoking up with a CC in hand.. my idea of heaven!! If you can stomach it - iced coffee and home made brownies is kick ASS!!! An I reckon happyb's chuppa chup is probably a must too.

Good old mmmmmmmmm. Thay help my come downs! I get em sometimes at Foodland near my house at Parafield Gardens and a few IGA shops sell them also. I no cash and carry sell the also and you can buy them of the net. I remember when wollies used to have them for $2.50 a box now that was sweeeeeeeeet

Yep i remember one morning after enchanted when it was up at Pondi we were there and there where ravers every where. All we did was went to the counter and the bloke said you want some of my finest?? It was pretty funny. Have spent a bit of cash there and it aint on fuel

Complaints? What are they? Never had a complaint while recovering at mine. Decks cranken, mates riding my kids peewee50 motor bike in the park next to my place - it's general sketchiness at it's finest. One time i even had the smoke machine on in the courtyard while we were all gurning in my spa, a mate rocks up at about 9 only to tell me it looks like my house is on fire from the road - turned that sucker off quick smart, last thing i wanted was for the cops/fire truck to arrive!

And as for mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ain't that the shit, I was told off by the nusre while my missus was having my baby for sucking the mmmmmmmmmm, had it up to 70% mmmmmmm and 30% oxygen. Man that was intense im telling ya, what was even funnier was that i nearly fell of this ball thing that the women sit on to help with contractions - gold, pure gold. Mmmm may have to get the missus pregnant again!

Caltex North Adelaide is my place of choice on the way home after a night out, actually it's the other way but it's worth the extra trip!

Recovering at the beach is the best. Clears your head and relaxes your body. Plus, you dont feel guilty for doing nothing all day.
