Bills and Pay as gone up over the past 200 years... as has the quality of life also increased... If you go back to our parents and our grandparents they made alot less money than us, had to go without alot more...

The problem is our generation is they've had it too easy... we expect to be able to purchase everything we want… our entertainment budgets and are disposable income are monstrous compared to pervious generations!

If you want more money if your life:

1. Reduce consumer debt to ZERO which includes all store cards, credit cards, car loans and other borrowed money for depreciating assets

2. Only borrow money to invest in appreciating assets like housing and blue chip share (ensure you have a mixed pool)

3. Spend 1 hour per week working on your BUDGET and not watching television... take control of you money rather than have it control you. Once you have an excellent idea of your spending you can control it and take major jumps forward.

4. Purchase a next book each fortnight (and read it) about planing, money, building wealth, getting out of debt, better budgeting, business maths... etc... etc... etc... And grow you understanding about money!

5. Stop yourself from impulse purchasing... wait a week if you still think is vital you have it then add it into your budget and find out a way to get it. JUST REMEMBER everyone around you is TRY TO SELL YOU SHIT YOU DON'T NEED.

I could think of plenty more... It's very easy to get control of you money... and therefore your life you just have to WANT IT.

no debts.. no store cards.. no credit cards no loans nothing outstanding, all my bills are ahead and in credit. just cost of living has gone up ive watched my shopping billclimb from 60-80$ a fortnight to 100-120 a fornight in the last 6 months.. fuel from under a dollar to $1.40.. huge price increase..

life aint ment to be easy, but working 50 hrs a week shouldnt be needed to survive...

tho i do live pretty comfortable now.

Ok, here's one for any tech heads out there.
Ive just got my new computer, with all the bells and wistles. Its running xp home edition.

I have tried to download onto the cd burner, but the bloody thing tells me there are no media items present?
I have a disc for the dvd player, motherboard, but no cd burner disc?
I have already taken it back twice for other things, and being the computer illiterate I am don't want to look stupid again

any ideas would be greatly apreciated.

did you try using the trusty stick and hitting it a few times and then seeing if it works?

That works on my starter motor of my car... so hey! it just might work somewhere else...!
but because its a new thing, and my car isnt, maybe i wouldnt advise doing that...

atleast you know how to turn it on and to not step on the mouse... yup yup sorry im not that kinda helpful person! for Computers anyway

To have a moving avatar, you need to find urself an animated gif instead of a still jpg or similar. Firstly find the images or whatever you want, then come see us.

XP can burn CDs without any extra software, but it sux ass. If you're going to ue the built in shite, download to the desktop for example, then drag and drop the files on the burner in Windows Explorer. Right click and set to burn the files. Personally, I'd get urself hooked up with some proper burning software like Nero if you don't already have it (either from a friend or a shop)

while winding my window down my brother grabbed hold of the glass and i thought he wasnt holding on very hard and would just continue winding the window down but he infact WAS holding on extremely tight and well he pulled the window out of the winderupperer...

and then i COULD wind it down if i held onto the window and pushed it down while winding *because it wouldnt catch in the winderupperer* and now i cant wind it down at all...

so i was wondering, would it be okay if i just did a home job like fix it and undid the door panel and tried to stick it back in? only i have that whole feeling of not enough tools, and then seeing it and not knowing how to fix it... AND then theres also the whole where DO i undo it to get the door off... do i have to take off the door handle and stuff?

HELP!!! Its an 88 Camira piece of loverly crap... but it does the job when its working... so if that helps with how to fix it then GREAT!

ravvy remove the door handle, the window winderupperer(theres a circlip behind the handle) remove the door lock if its a screw on one, the arm rest. then pull the outter skin off. its stuck on with trim clips, start at the bottom. remove the plastic dust shield and u should be able to see a scissor mechanis, as far as i know its only the rear doors that have the cable mechanism ( hard to work with). u should be able to see the glass is out of the rail. there should be a couple of small screws on clips at the base of the window in the glass slot. undo them, let align the window again and reverse all the steps u took to get it all off...

the hoon laws cover most things that can be done in a car and are classed as fun by most drivers..

i didint know of the ear buds one but i can understand where it comes from as sound is half of the drivers awareness. hence why loud music is frowned upon in case u cant hear an ambulance or police car etc trying to come thru traffic. or the squeal of brakes as a truck slides towards u at an intersection.

okay so today the window fell down into the door while i was driving home *i took off the door rest, but i couldnt take off the winderupperer..., then i took off the clips going round the skin, took off the bit round the handle and the lock, and moved the dust shield, then i looked in and the window was completely out of the winder thingo.. but i couldnt put it back in, i had one person hold the door back, one was holding the window and i was on the ground workin the winder but we think that its been bent out of place....

so now i think its completely stuffed, we put the window up and put the winder as much as we could up so that it would look secure but i think im going to have to get a better professional than me to do it...

You need an animation program (to make it into an animating .gif) such as Adobe Imageready (which comes with Photoshop) or Fireworks. Best to read up on animation on the net or read the help files with those programs.

If you can't find a program that copy's CD to CD, just get a CD image ripper program and copy an "image" then burn the "image" to a blank cd... same thing.

that sounds like it would be a RealAudio file ... RealPlayer should be able to play it, but some people don't like the way RealPlayer behaves on a pc

You could even select the text... and there is a "Source" window/palette. If not.. open it through "Window > Source" up top.

Select the text in the main window and it'll highlight it in the Source window too and you can manually fix it there to http:// whatever...

1. double check site properties
2. try and make all links abolute, not relative:

absolute = relative to the site root.  "/" is root, i.e. http://www.nickdevision.com/ - note the "/" on the end... relative links are relative to the location of the page you are coding "../../file.name" - this, while convenient, leads to a logistical nightmare later when you want to globally change link locations - find/replace "/images/me.jpg" to "/images/god.jpg" can be done a lot quicker than having to find each "../../" etc - just personal experience...

So ADLS 1 / 2 / 2+ will all give about the same speed 4500kbps... better than the 1500kbps I'm on now!!

that would be because dial uppers tend to " warp" or ' teleport" across the screen, as their connections too slow to give solid play. so its hard to hit you when your only in 1 frame every 25... as opposed to those on broad band having a solid figure all the time..

Ive just picked up a 1000W 12" Sub & a 500W 4Channel amp.. i'm wanting to hook it up in my car. I have a 6 speaker 'system' already- 2 x 6.5" rear & 2 x 6.5" fronts with tweeters (conected together thru a little box thingy to-yes i have nfi! LOL )
Ive been told that the 4 channel amp will control all the fronts & the sub... & the rears controled by the deck.. is it worthwhile i get another 2channel amp for my rears?

I can hear a noticable diference to the clarity & defintion of tunes at all levels of frequencies ie, treble, base, high & low pitches BUT...im thinking maybe my sub is too powerful tho for my car??  i neva thought id here my self qstn the power of a sub but yeah  need to adjust my settings a bit more me thinx...

Just give it some fine tuning, adjust the gains on your amp, and the frequency of the sub..  Re-Adjust the settings in your headuint too! that can do a fair bit, depending on what unit u have, how advanced the eq is, crossover etc

By the sounds of it, if your happy let it be...If you want more out of your system, then see if the amp can handle another 2 speakers,
or as youve been askin the whole time, get a 2nd

mono as a pre-out? i havnt heard of that b4 (not sayin there isnt but yeh)
Ideally front, rear, and sub have their own pre-outs, you run 3 cables to the amps, one for each, this will keep everything seperate.. youve got seperate sub controll, fader to F n R.. Depends on your deck really

And thats just basic, wait to you enter competition level hahaaa

jpb run the low pass filter for your sub, just amp your front splits, the little box they are connected to should be acorss over box, splitting your mids fr you highs so your tweeters up top get sharp ncrisp (im hoping u have seperate tweeters??)

your deck sounds pretty decent i didintcheck the figures or specs but with full sub control from deck it makes it easier for you. i have to manually tune mine by hand at teh rear. sit in the car with your favourite tunes on and tune till its clear and deap sharp punch in the kidneys.

usually when running a 4 channel sub with two channels bridged for sub u run the other two to your fronts and use your deck to power your rears. as your reas are then mainly used for 'fill" as your sub gives u the bass your after. if u can adjust it tune your rears to mainly mids. so as not to muffle thebass fromt he sub with bass from your rears. this is how ever only personal choice of music.

just keep in mind not all CD's are mixed the same so bass/mid/highs will also need to be adjusted to the cd ur playing.

one setting does not fit all


use your preset values to tune in your favourite CDs or Genres, i listen to alot of metal and a fair bit of dance. so its always fun playing round to make somthing sound good.. the sticking in another cd to sound shit...

gives u a great exscuse to mess with your system

Once you have Skype installed, and running you can click on the "Call Me" Icons next to the skype icon underneath their avatars and information on your left

Example, PaulHamon and Foonji have their profiles setup with their Skype username, so if you click on their "call me" buttons Skype will call that user, from there you can add them to a contact list, you can even search for contacts thru skype based on firstname and lastname, nicknames etc

It's just like a modern day MSN/ICQ that allows you to talk instead of type, makes things easier i guess

jpb  run the low pass filter for your sub, just amp your front splits,  the little box they are connected to should be acorss over box, splitting your mids  fr you highs so your tweeters up top get sharp ncrisp (im hoping u have seperate tweeters??)

your deck sounds pretty decent i didintcheck the figures or specs but with full sub control from deck it makes it easier for you. i have to manually tune mine by hand at teh rear. sit in the car with your favourite tunes on and tune till its clear and deap sharp punch in the kidneys.

usually when running a 4 channel sub  with  two channels bridged for sub u run the other two to your fronts and  use your deck to power your rears. as your reas are then mainly used for 'fill" as your sub gives u the bass your after.  if u can adjust it tune your rears to mainly mids. so as not to muffle thebass fromt he sub with bass from your rears.  this is how ever only personal choice of music.

just keep in mind not all CD's are mixed the same so  bass/mid/highs  will also need to be adjusted  to the cd ur playing.

one setting does not fit all
use your preset values to tune in your favourite CDs or Genres, i listen  to alot of metal and a fair bit of dance.  so its always fun playing round to make somthing sound good.. the sticking in another cd to sound shit...

gives u a great  exscuse to mess with your system

How do I create a really cool sig with grafx and such?

I've never ever created one but I just want one. I want to make it myself but cant afford those high-end programs. So I've downloaded GIMP but it seems like its more trouble than its worth.

Anyone know anything bout Mame?

I want to download it but am so confused by the many variations of it. I want the one that is easy to use. I know where to get the roms but having problems with the emulator. Any help will be appreciated.
